Anyone using 2.5"+ /3" N/A exhaust system???

Like I say for 170 quid, I expect there will be issues, but nothing I cant sort...

Before I bought it, I scanned through his feedback to see who else had bought one, I found 2 guys in the US who had so sent them a message, both said they were happy with it, and hadnt had any major problems fitting it.

I'll keep you posted when I get mine on sometime in Feb.

Any idea what make yours is.?

I have found one that looks very similar and is around 170 delivered. Called "fusionetics"?

A good custom system costs £450-£500, gets done exactly how you want it, with a lifetime comeback. All the above sounds like a lot of hassle, time wasted and taking a chance on buying some cheap sh*te, that may or may not be what you need.

If you work in a fabricators can you not get it done the way you want it?

hm.. thanks for the info on me guys! i use a buddyclub header and a complete cat back buddyclub also with buddyclub spec 3 exhaustwould it work making it 3 inch??

Im on the isle of man and i work in one of the only fabricators on the island. They only use a pipe bending machine, dont do mandrel bends. There aint any places on the island that make proper decent systems. I could buy the mandrel bends and fabricate it all myself but it would be miles easier to just buy and use the piping. Even if its a bit cheap if the piping is stainless then it should be ok for a while. once I fit decent silencers and new mounts.

Its just an exhaust, its not rocket science, it sits under the car, where nobody sees it and gets bumped and scrapped.... I dont see the point in spending £500 on an exhaust, if it breaks I'll bodge it back together...

Thats your choice, it may not be rocket science but there are plenty of people who call themselves fabricators, but in fact just 'bodge it together'..

It would be great if someone can dyno 2.5" system then put on a 3" system and do back to back testing. This will be the true test.

Will low end (below 3000rpm part throttle) and midrange suffer from 3"?

Also what would be the impact of using a mugen twinloop on the end of a 3" system? Would that really be defeating the whole point of a 3" exhaust?

I have just priced it up to make a full 3" system with all mandrel bends and 3x 3" silencers.

It came to £400 just for the piping, flanges and silencers thats with me piecing it all together.

Think I might just replace the resonators on my 60mm system for now as that will only cost me like £60-100 replacing one or 2 new silencers.

I cant justify £400 when i haven't even decided on what motor I will be putting in. Just hope the 60mm system is enough for my b18c

I'll try dyno before and after, I have Mugen 4-1 with Apexi N1 now, changing to Toda rep with 3" collector and full 3" system in Feb.

That being whp.

You must be running like prity high spec B18C for those figures thats all. Is not something you see every day.

I can see why you run a 3" system.

What CR + cams are you running.

218 whp????

So thats like 260hp at the fly. Must be some mega motor. Are you sure?

I pretty much take American WHP to equal our BHP, it makes the figures much more accurate haaa.

Im going to use 3" on my EK once its Kswapped, Iv read loads about this and it seems pretty straight cut. Alex's K20 EK made mode power both midrange and top end with a 3" over his previous mugen twinloop.

TDI North also used and suggest 3" exhausts on K20 vehicle and have got one on their K20 EG.

i had a 2.5 inch on my k swap and it made massive gains ouer my old system kind of wish i went 3 inch and wonder what aonghus (vtec6000) could have got out of it .even though i think i was getting to my limits on standard injectors afaik.

when my old system it was in the 233mark and after new exhaust and mapping and new fuel pump made 255 256 consistent and peaked 257 on a dyno dynamics.

I gained about 10lbft of torque when i switched to a 3" system on my b20.
Only made a few more peak hp over a 2.5"
