is this swap worth to do it, or spend the money to bult the b16b?

Much easier to increase displacement rather than trying to tease more power from a B16b with cams etc. Cheaper too!

if i swap the b16b with b18 r will i notice a big difference ?

is anyone from here swap his b16b with b18c?if yes can tell us what the differense on the road?

Massive difference between the two engines the biggest being low down torque.

It's a great mod but I wish I'd spent the money on a decent set of gear ratios and final drive instead of going b18 with my ek9.

There differance is like day and night.

X2 even in a heavier dc2 the difference is mega. If your wanting noticably more power throughout without going boost its the way to go imo.

B16b is torque less down ,Personal I do not like the b16b I have found them a bit hit and miss with my experiences ,A really good B18cR has more torque and power,Makes an ek9 better fun to drive and is more drivable down low city driving ect ,better mpg's then b16b ,

If you want cost affective power ,sell the b16b and put your money into a b18c , realistically out of the 2 engines if you where to build the 2 of them with the same parts cams ,pistons ect the b18c will come out on top ,I have seen b16b with cams only make 205ish bhp and b18cr will make 205 with just basic bolt on's on the same dyno and have more torque then the b16b
That is my opinion's on things .

Depends on the use you make of the machine. For road use the b18 is better, if you use your car on the track, a b16b that runs very well done and the top has nothing to envy to a b18.

I like the 77.4 Stroke.

I love my B18C in my EK9. Much more drivable round town and goes really well when opened up.

I ran a 15.0 at santa pod with B16B and a 14.2 with B18C

i ran a b16 in my coupe then switched over to a b18cr.
Game changer for me, I love the b18 over the b16 all day long. [218 whp NA]

Im going K-r now...;)

This.

14.9 in my Jordan with B16 and 14.3 with B18C.

I think that says it all. Having driven my ek9 with b16b for a while now it is good up untill 4th when the long 4/5th gear really show up the lack of power.

B18C with a true 4.7 final drive is the ideal mid level build IMO.

or get a b18c6 for cheaper monies than the b18cr. Just use JDM/aftermarket manifolds & JDM 70mm throttle Body and JDM ecu. Extra power from b18cr is made through manifolds and ecu. Blocks are the same.

In the middle of doing the swap now, so i will let you know when its running :)

The B18C has more torque, and it's noticeable, particularly when not in VTEC. However, y mom's 4 cyl. camry destroys both in that category. I get a little tired of the torqueless wonder moniker, the B18C doesn't exactly have stump pulling low end torque either. It also has the lowest (by a large margin) R/S ratio of any high reving (8K+) motor at 1.59, while the B16B being a destroked B18C has one of the best at 1.82 (motorcycle territory). Like every B16B owner I sometimes ponder the what if of a B18C, but from a design and durability perspective the B16B is superior, it's such an efficient and over engineered design. That's why I run it. If you want torque go K series.

b18c R all the way its pretty fast i have raced eg with b16 on a 50 shot and still beat them by a bumper, also have taken srt4's,usdm type r

I'm tempted to swap out my B16B for a B18C. I personally don't think it's worth messing around with stroker kits etc if you just want the displacement, much easier and probably cheaper to change the engine..

B18C. and as they say the rest was history...

awesome engine and really reliable.
