Bit of a shame...


Went to see an EK9 today, Put a deposit down...its a GID YIN

dunsy, what made you decide on another 9 ? from your 1st post i gathered you were bored and wanted to move onto totally different type of car
 
I Drove my car again after not driving for a week or so...Realised how much i love it, thought it over and considered the amount of parts i have for an EK9, also that i want something i can take on track next year, it had to be a honda and i find DC2's boring. an EP3/DC5 would have to have too much money spent on it to get to the same standard my EK is.

Its just too good a car to give up on, so the car i viewed today is slightly more refined than mine but has some very nice parts on it. Fingers crossed everything goes to plan and i can buy this Civic in the next fortnight. run it over the winter how it stands and then in spring next year fit my cage etc etc.

i have thought about selling Both B16b's and K20ing the new one but i will need to wait and see if i actually get the car in the first place because its all still up in the air
 
Mathew...Just remember i have a full prefacelift front end to fit to any car i buy ;)
 
very sensible decision, oddly, dc2 is fabulous car and really enjoyed mine but but just never gave me buzz of my ek, dc2 was superb to drive but just too easy to drive (hard to explain)

youve got the bug
 
i know what you mean about the DC2, they have never excited me at all. a few of my friend s have them and i much prefer driving the EK

I Know!! :D Its an expensive Bug haha!
 
Is it a Race base your buying Dunsy? :) If so nice one if its the one i'm thinking of! K20 FTW!! I can see a few good battles at Knockhill next year.
 
Jag - Yeah mate, well hopefully buying haha! Knockhill next year is going to be Brilliant! ive got a score to settle with yumen and look forward to battlin you! you should really take the Porsche on though ;)

I drove it last night and its a fair bit slower than my EK9 but its a well put together car and very nice to drive. Fingers crossed :)

im gonna have to make trip sometime next year and do knockhill, hopefully get few of us from down here to come up and stay over or somethin and make weekend of it
 
When me and ma mate run our next track night il put it up on here aswell :D

I just spoke to them and they said the "engineers" were waiting to hear back from someone for a valuation on the car just to confirm that what i valued the car at is correct

Fingers crossed its today, im losing sleep over this SH1TE
 
That sucks, its always a waiting game with insurance companies. There quick enough at taking our money but when it comes down to paying out its a different story. Hoping it goes well and we'll be seeing a beast of a race base :)
