Car hit a milestone today, Odometer has turned pasted 60000. Which means in the four years i've owned the car its only driven 15k miles.

front lip is off ebay iirc cost about £100. Fitment is a little off as it forces the bottom of the bumper to be narrower that what it should be.

anywho, as some of you know I have a Skunk2 Megapower R system on my car and although it sounds savage im old now and want something civilised! Also ive had a slash cut exhaust on a civic for over 5 years so im after a different look and noise....

Mugen Twinloop to the rescue.

still got some cleaning to do on it but its came up good after a quick de-tar.

Great shout on the TL. I have really grown out of silly loud Honda's (For the road anyway) and have never liked 4" tips etc...

I have a TL catback on my DC2 with a J's De-cat and I love it, sounds throaty but not very loud until you approach VTEC. Was surprised at how little effect the decat had on noise being a non-baffled one :nice:. Also, I can't see Mugen building an exhaust that is going to be restrictive with basic breathing mods which is the general consensus with these.

Anywise, good shout!

once I get the gearbox done and the exhaust system swapped that will be the end of my modifications to it. Only other thing I may consider is a new exhaust manifold and bucket seat. Saving monies for a house and some two wheeled fun. :win:

Drop me a PM if you have an idea of what 2 wheeled fun you might be after.

Thinking of shifting the GSXR600.

gearbox had been out and the syncrotech master rebuild kit fitted, as well as a few oem bearings and nuts. Got it all back together last night and its brilliant, nice smooth gear changes and no notchy feelings. Having driven it at higher rev's yet but so far im very impressed. Big thanks to Stephen (SPek9) for swapping out all the internal parts. fitted my mugen twinloop and a baffled decat but I guess I have a blow out in it somewhere as the car sounds like a charged diesel.. Also it was very strange being able to hear the induction noise again for the first time in years!

Excellent mate, its always good to have a completely rebuild gearbox that you know is 100% inside. If you look after it and keep changing the oil it should last for many years to come :)

Had a quick wee read through this thread - nice to see this being looked after so well. Not many black facelifts around are there? Keep up the good work :nice:

well haven't done much with the car in the last 6 months! Had other more important things to sort out but did manage to get this bought and have been tinkering with it now that its off the roads for winter time! A WHOLE NEW WORLD!

swapped out the levers for shorter and lighter ones, carbon heel plates, seat cowl and some other bits yet to be fitted. cant wait for the good weather to come back.

lol, I keep forgetting to update this. car has barely moved in the last year. front suspension needs some refreshing and the rear engine mount has ate itself to pieces, so i've that to change again.
