boost? or kswap?

if you got the money, dedication and patience i say go k. I wouldve done it but i dont have the balls too lol

maintenance, drivability, fear of cops, fear of thieves, fear of blowing up your engine, cost of the parts, cost of mainenance, fear of overheating in traffic, etc, etc, etc, one by one these little things add up and you end up with a car you just don't want to drive too often.

i prefair b series vtec to k series anyday and turbos are more fun and sound so much beta! plus if u have already build your head and stuff why not finish it of with forged bottom end?
but like said its up to you mate!

I'd say boost unless you use your car on a daily basis

After Experiencing more than one, K-Swap all day long.

reliability, N/A, Fuel Consumption, ITB's and your Torquing seriouse figures with a good map,(see what i did there?) All those are plus point,

I wont list the negatives of turbos as they have already been said. But yeah, Turbos are alot of maintanance! Unless you run pretty damn low boost, and then its not worth doing!

Its the sensible option IMO, id never consider boost Ever since being in a K-powered EK.... They are unbelievable!

do the k swop, add a well branded exhaust, gruppeM,rbc inlet and kpro :nice:
if you get bored of that then supercharge it:win:

it will be cheaper for you to put that GSR that you already have on boost,,,now i can tell you my JDM GSR motor Made 307whp on 8lbs of boost ( completely Stock internals ) on 93 octane ..so its your call man ,,,
good luck

I would go boost in my opinion I just love the pull when the turbo kicks. K series is good but kinda overrated I see too many eg's with k swap up in here CO tho so thats my opinios

:blabla:

you Sir obviously do not own a K-swapped vehicle. In addition, what grounds do you stand to say they are overrated? But like you said your entitled to your own opinion.

OP - I daily drive my Ek K20z3, it is very fun to drive. I have molested numerous turbo B vehicles. I would suggest a Kswap but if built right a turbo B would satisfy you need for power. or turbo a K  I did and i blew it up! lol .goodluck

lol its hard but thanxs guys i guess i will find out this coming summer!!yes i am an american and yes people down here with american muscle are big headed and they doubt my honda.. at the end when i beat them they get butt hurt and try to say they wasnt ready or im spraying or whatever. im leaning towards to the kswap thanxs to you guys lol.no front mount = i can say i still have my gsr lol. i mean my car is pretty quick its a 95 gsr motor with cams but stock bottom end. made 183 when tuned. with a stock cat and small headers =[. i thought doing kswap would cost more then going boost? for a complete clip for the k20a is about 5800, plus all the other parts you need in order to install the kswap like motor mounts and kpro etc..

kswap is more expensive here in america i dont know in europe but here if you want a powerful kswap , bro you will need at least 9 to 10G $5,000 for swap + k pro another $1000 , engine mount and all conversion parts probably another $1000 or more and the best part paying a top shop to do the work another 1.5 to 2,000 including tuning ect and if you want to go higher cams etc more kuano will be spend so bottom line at the end of the day you will be broke but very happy LOL :drive: you can also sell your gsr swap for maybe $3000.00 so you will need another 7 gs something like that, if you have the money go with the kswap i have a friend that did it and damnnn you can feel the powerrrrr. turbo is nice but for a daily drive? check the gas price my friend jeje but then again with the great prices find on ebay you can get your gsr ready for business with half of what you will spend with the kswap

i had a boosted gsr on 10lbs a while back.. completley stock internals ebay turbo kit, a skunk 2 intake mani and it was tuned on chrome i daily drove it, and beat the hell out of it while driving it and nothing ever broke.. soo i would do gsr.. just because you already have it. it would only make sense. k series motors arent really that special
