Brakes under 15 inch wheel

Will 282mm disc and cailper fit under a 15 inch wheel

Cheers

Which caliper ? from Integra ?

I believe that it will leave 2-3mm space between caliper and inside of wheel.

One little stone could make damage...

tell a safe clearance between caliper and wheel.
a little stone can become dust i think on a rotating wheel imo.

not sure..I like to see 5-6mm at list..

Been runing 282mm Mg discs and ITR front calipers under my 15"x6.5" ET45 rota circuit 10's.

There is only about 1.5mm between the wheel spokes and the calipers :nice:

Been like that for like 2 years now no problems at all even on track.

What wheels have you found that dont fit? Where they the right offset.

its a trade off, you leave a big gap and a big stone can get in tehre and get jammed and cause damage, you leave a small gap and a stone cant fit in to cause damage...

This is what you call clearance for 15" wheel, 300mm 4 pots with some strategically placed wheel weights..........

Looks mint :nice:

I think its down to wheel spoke design, dimentions and ET.

Like how dunk has the Freakyparts Willwood superlights on 298mm discs under Teamdynamic Pro 1's and the odd few other rims with spacers.

One reason why when i come round to buying my new rims they will at least be 15x7 and ET35 that way should have an easier scope to fit bigger brakes if needed. And if not they will still give the car a better stance anyway.

has anyone fitted 282mm mg zs disks and mb6 calipers under a set of 15" rota slipstreams as im going to putting mine on tomorrow, hopefully they will.

We run a 310x32mm disc with a 4 pot on one of our 205's under an 8x15 wheel BUT its an et-0.....,im assuming that a zs 282 disc setup fits under the wheels im going to be using for rallying as i ran a 285 disc on the clio and had a fair amount of room.

I went from 15x6.5" ET42 -> 15x7" ET35. What a difference! Couldn't push it as the arches needed rolled proper however you could feel how much more planted the car felt, looking forward to driving it again now the arches are sorted :wow:

Steven, have you had any experience with the ATR setup? I would assume that they would not fit behind 15" P1s, bit seeing those massive Brembos behind yours makes me think it might just be possible!
