Decat Spoon N1..Is it very loud?

Hi

I am looking to decat my Spoon N1 but my car is my daily and I don't want my ears to bleed, I have heard u tube vids but its hard to determine how loud it is, I do however like the sound of them decated,

So all you who have, isit really loud and untollerable as a daily drive?

Hmm thought so, I have a high flow cat, OEM manifold and OEM EK9 mid pipe and the sound is just right.
 
I think its all about preference and tolerance realy, i used mine as a daily with a de-cat'd N1 up until recently and coped ok. Its no where near as loud as tye top fuel and buddyclub ones i have had.
 
Personal preferance mate. De cat wont make it stupidly louder! Me and my brother run de cat N1 s and my other brother has a spec 2 as a daily!

I am doing a B18C-R conversion on my EJ9, currently running a 2.25" high flow cat, want to run 2.5" all the way now and can't seem to find any high flow cats that are JDM size and 2.5".

Ideally I think I need to be in a decated N1 car.

you can get a high flow CAT from tegiwa i think and get the 2.5" flanges welded on, could be the answer.
 
£130 for one? seems a bit steep as I got this for much cheaper,

And Tegiwa cats, heard a bit of mixed reviews, last thing I want is problems.

Not what I would call quiet. I had mine as a daily for a good 6 months. Hated when I had to give lifts to people and try to have a conversation. Was mega drony on light throttle and just mega laud on the pipes. Wouldn't recomend it as a daily.
 
Have to admit, sounds nice lol, but I am pretty sure that sort of noise would get me into trouble in London lol,

Thanks anyway, probably stick with a standard cat till I can find a high flow one.
 
I ran my N1 without a cat for a couple of months and tbh, the chav in me liked it. Try it without a silencer as well :lol:
 
Got myself a tegiwa one.....quality looked ok from what i can tell!

BUT, never quitened down the spec 2 in anyway, just smoothed out the tone a little.
 
I run a n1 with decat and I think it's perfect for everyday use. They are only loud when in the vtec. Brillant buy go for it.
 
TBH with you my Spoon N1 was ridiculously loud..... its the Raspy ness that makes it loud, if you go for a baffled decat you will remove that raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasp lol.

ive got a decat with spoon b pipe and n1 for my daily and i love even second of it :D
