>> DV8's EK9 <<

Owning and driving a turbo Honda is one HELL of an experience. There's just something about it... Nothing beats screaming up to 9000rpm & having your screamer pipe fire off a shot what sounds like a shotgun going off. You can't beat it...

Cheers mate! :)

You know what I agree in principle... but i've had both the original B16B screemer (which was awesome in itself) and a B18C-R in N/A so i've experienced both those.

My belief is that in life you should experience as much as possible so next up for me is turbs :).

Ahhh gotcha.
Nebertheless, its going to be FUN.
And change is always good, good luck, i will stay tuned :D

Insane read! Lovely car! Some top quality parts and craftsmanship!

Those Advans look stunning with the red lip! Got the same rims on my 9 just in 15" :)

Keen to see the turbo build take shape!

Bit of an update (just parts whoring really)...

Oh and for those asking its a Turbonetics T3/T04B .63 - apparently it has a power range of 200 - 400 hp...

I was thinking aboul FI in the future, screwed myself getting a b20 really..

thing with a turbo build is it costs a lot and when things go wrong which (especially if you track) they tend to not be cheap anyway this is a great build :)

Yup, but all things must at least be tried once :drive:

Going to be running a full width rad, low boost and an oil cooler to keep things in check...

Just sent the Hondata off to have the boost components added and pigtails added to the conversion harness for boost solenoid and a boost switch :D

Started my gearbox rebuild today... got the clusters out and started cleaning the case. Not as hard as i thought i'd be apart from a few 'snags'

There's tutorial on YouTube mate that may help you. Search for "evans tuning gearbox rebuild ".

Cheers Rich. Been using the guide on Honda tech but nice to see a vid too

Good work just remember to take your time and set everything out in order

The guides are good on hondatech, when putting the box back together the best tip is once you slide the housing down, select a few gears 3rd into 4th with a screwdriver through the selector and it should pop right down into position (with the circlip opened) then with a few bolts in turn the box upside down and let it drop onto a block of wood etc with a light dunt you will hear the shaft clicking into the circlip.

Also double check that all the syncro hubs are selecting up and down on the shafts before closing up the box and then that you can select all gears when the box is built before you put it back into the car

$75 for that ignitor bypass mate. That's shipped US main land though (I had mine shipped to my hotel when I was in Cali). I'm sure it won't cost much to ship one over here though....

What stereo block off plate are you using ? I was thinking about blocking mine off to and installing my two gauges there.

Thanks

Cheers bud, managed to break my wrist so re-assembly is going to have to wait a bit. Everything's well oiled at least. :nerv:

Cheers for that Rich. Will be a while until I've got the cash for that but def going to go that route if its all still available.

Used a genuine Honda block off. Really handy as it just clips in. Only thing to be aware of is the back has a supporting plastic structure on it.

I think eternal sells them on here from memory. Had a mate Cnc the holes into mine. Lol

Oh and here's the casing fully cleaned with tow new bearings fitted. :))
