I just thought I would mention how rare the 9 has become in Japan.

I have been looking for a grade 4 silver or yellow, upto 130k km for a customer now for about 6 months and still not found one.

Just did a search and out of 27,990 cars in Jap auction's not even 1 EK9 for sale! :wow:

The japs will be importing them from us next lol

I've noticed this also, you don't see much freshly imported EK9's about now.

some of them are going for ridiculous prices too, over £8000 for a low milage grade 4 and thats before shipping and taxes etc...!

SO this means that prices won't be coming down right?
Too pitty the 9 wan't a massively produced car and didn't have a right hand side version.
You might search markets like Cyprus too in order to find some. I guess the import taxes won't be as high

That's crazy. Maybe they seen our pot hole filled roads and thought they better keep them lol

Kirsty if you think you've seen pot hole filled roads, you obviously have never been to Donegal, Ireland. Lol.

Sooner the EK9 value goes up again the better! Isn't only a matter of time until the scrap ek9's are broke or hit.

There is a yellow 2000 light weight version with 4k miles on Goo-net I enquired about it for my customer and the seller is after 1,760,000 Yen = £22,500 OMFG!

Does this mean we are seeing EK9s accelerated into modern classic status?

I need to get me one!

a lot of money for a 9. although whoever has a mint 9 right now with semi low miles should be holding onto them as they can only rise in value

maybe its because some people have been importing them in largish numbers (tongue in cheek) lol

Is there any particular reason that there are no ek9’s available for export.

Is it all due to the current economic climate making it ultra expensive to import? Or has the demand gone?

Imports virtually stopped due to the exchange rates :(
I'll keep rescuing, restoring and selling them for as long as I can.
