EK9 Rear Diffuser

these look AMAZING on a TRACK car , but on the street who are you kidding you don't need a difuser for street use. thats ridiculous if you buy this type of thing for show. save your self a grand and get a second set of wheels for the summer . gosh talk about going to far. lol.

I think that comment goes a bit far...You could say that about a lot of mods...ie you dont need a lot of things for street use but doesnt stop people buying and fitting certain bits does it.

Thats just your opinion on the matter and everyone in entitled to one but dont make it seem like its completely stupid fitting one and no one should even think about it just because you dont like that idea :)

Well I think it looks amazing, its just a shame the car doesnt look like that any more. I was there the day that diffuser was gettin fitted, although I had no clue what I was looking at. It was just a type one technician at work on a clean modded EK9. It wasnt till I got home and studied my holiday pictures that I noticed the titainium exhaust. Then I saw it on a japanese dvd and recognised the number plate. Awesome EK9! I'll stick some pics up, they were taken in June 2006.

I agree, we can say a spoiler is not needed for street use or even suspension modifications, in all honesty a 100% stock ek9 is overkill for simple street use ;)

Personally I think they look shite. If they were purposeful in that they were accompanied by a full flat bottom undertray over the whole length of the car then maybe.

Those ones pictured are a bit too in-yo-face for me. But then I like quiet exhausts, so maybe I'm just weird...

that Spoon diffuser really wants me to sell my flat, and destroy all those speed bumps here just to be able to have them

that mean have to buy s2k model of spoon diffusser to mod into ek9?am i right?

The Spoon diffuser is awesome on their EK9! Me wants!

Yeh Spoon don't have a off the shelf EK9 diffuser, they have used the S2000 Diffuser and shortened it to make it fit the EK9.

...how many spoon diffuser's would it take to equal the cost/value of a good used EK9? 4 maybe?

This is an area that I think the after market suppliers have left weak; rear of the car, especially the rear bumper and under the bumper. There is a ton of drag caused by the underside rear bumper--acting like a scoop. A simple diffuser would solve this...as pictured.

Reality is that most are cost prohibitive, if not all.
We need a low cost high quality solution for sure.

not really, this is an area ive looked into in great detail, i can get one made from very thin stainless steel for about 30quid. not costly at all!

But still, there is nothing out there that is low cost and high quality, unless you go custom.
