Thanks for the heads up dude :nice: good thing your mum got in touch with paypal

Happened me before to man!!
Was trying to sell my last car and this boy saying the exact same.
My mum also rang and found it was a fake.

It sickens you but at least you werent scammed.

pretty much anyone who is working off shore and wants to make it a pressie for their son or whatever is talking crap... lot of this going on atm

really frightens you to think its going to be easy then find out your bank could be empty lol ive learned my lesson

I had this when i was selling my ej9 he offered me £1200 more than i was asking! Thought it was to good to be true so i asked him and never got a reply lol called his bluff :p

just reading now on his fake pay pal and theres spelling mistakes in it i am such an idiot

Cash/bank transfer on collection. Anything else is 99% certain to be a scammer. :nice:

got away with that one gazza ! :nerv:

good heads up and a reminder to everyone that scammers are out there, stay safe !

thanks for the heads up dude! thats a shockin display though, glad you got away with it though man :nice:

Happened to me also when I was selling my first car. Pm'd via email; person wanted to do transfer via paypal which turned out to be completely fake. Wasn't having any of it tbh, anybody that interested in a car will come personally or will request to view it. That's my way of thinking anyway, hasn't let me down so far.

Glad they didn't get away with it mate, always happens to the good guys aswell. Scamming pri*ks!!!!

Had exactly the same when trying to sell my last car.
I was getting a new one everyday, made me laugh cause they're spelling was disastrous.

Although I also had someone else trying to sell my car too for an extra £4000, the scams some people try to pull :(

thanks for the heads up gazza same thing happened to me, was only when he asked for me to pay for mover i recognized his address was in nigeria lol
