exedy clutches

hi, looking at geting a new clutch as needs replacing, the car is daily driven and is guna be used for accasional track days! my question is, is the exedy oem clutch any better atall than the standard honda oem clutch eg. stronger?
or would i be better of going for the exedy stage 1 clutch if its guna be tracked! dont wna spend all that money for the exedy oem clutch and fitting and find that when i track it it cant handle it and be crap!

is the stage 1 clutch good for the road, as said its driven daily, and dnt want big problems and to much annoyance whilst in traffic jams etc.

the stage one is fine for every day use in my oponion, unless you have a week leg lol, when i fitted mine i had to replace the master cylinder tho as it couldn't handle the extra load and started to leak, got the master cyl from a motor factors by the way, it was a blue print one and was made by the same company that make the oem cylinders and was half the oem price! dont buy a ebay exedy tho.
 
Exedy clutches are great, almost 90% of honda cars that come from japan to my country uses a exedy clutch, the stage 1 is good for daily drive, :)
 
ite cheers guys! whats this about people experiencing juddering with the stage 1 exedy clutch? isit tht big of a deal or is it only slight? im gna get the exedy 9.5lb flywheels aswell? could it be the lightened flywheel tht causes the juddering?

i never had no judder with mine, i think its the shoddy probably fake e bay exedy clutches that judder, buy one only from a exedy dealer.

I have judder with mine, its quite annoying. Bought from a dealer not ebay. If I could do it again I would choose the AP unit its only £40 more. Some have judder some dont.
 
where would you get the ap clutch at that price £40 more? isit a stage 1 clutch?

that ap racing clutch is for an integra type r? will it fit my 1999 ek4 vti b16a2?
also i notice theres one for a civic vti b16a2,1991-1995 tho?
 
mine judders, and i know its a "REAL" exeddy. but it does its job well:nice:
 
Exedy is an OEM supplier to car manufacturers in Japan, no worries, my brother's turbo AE86 uses their 3puck clutch & cover assy.
 
The clutch itself has great 'feel', very similar to oem, a touch firmer. But the judder is very frustrating, using mine everyday now, some have judder some dont but if you decide to take the chance and install one you will be annoyed with it if you get the judder :mad:, this is why I recomend another.
 
I had a exedy organic stage 1 clutch in my ek4 vti and after about 2000 miles in started to judder ever so slightly when pulling away but it stopped doing it after another 2-3000 miles ,it's supposed to be common on these clutchs and i payed top dollar for mine as well, it was'nt a fleebay job
 
How long will the standard clutch last on the track?? roughly how many trackdays do you think it could last? cheers
