Its too loud imo. heard a vti with one on and its ridiculous. in fact it gave me a sore head just driving behind the guy. Would recommend a spoon n1 as it offers a perfect balance between noise, performance and subtle looks.

yeah a friend of mine that has the same set up i do has the spoon n1 and i do like it because its not loud untill you are all out open... however i also think that after the exhaust has been "broken in" it gets quit raspy...

The spec2 is great for the first half hour after that the novelty soon wears off.

Exhausts cant be ''Broken in'' , they may sound different in colder air and when the engine is hot..

I had a spec 2 on my old EG3 DX with it being a 1.3 Carb, my days it was ridiculously LOUD and an popping system lol it was alright and fun to have for first few days to piss people off :lol to have it on if your using your car as a daily i wouldnt, just ear/head ache after a half hour canstant drive.
They say its better on a bigger litre engine so.. Good for track day use.

ok thanks for the advice... the car is not a daily but i do like to take it on long cruises sooo if after the first half hour or so i dont want to drive it i do not think that will be very pleasant :) i hope to one day track this car so if that day comes then maybe i will consider this exhaust...

I have one on my Sir Del Sol and previously on my b18c6 EG.... with the bung in they are bearable as a daily, whisper quiet on tickover and only loud when in vtec.

Without the bung its basically like open header, just abit more raspy.

They are great for power tho, but with the bung in, it kills the topend... I lost 0.2 on the strip with the bung in... also most tracks have noise restictions, even with the bung in my EG was 105db.

I had one on a 200sx, I took the bung out and it sounded raspy and deafening!

On my ek9, I have a Buddy Club Spec 3 with a bung, it's pretty subtle until you put your foot down and it opens up on vtec

spec 3 is asweome, i miss my old one

good luck getting spec 2 on track haha

This! I used to love the sound of mine with the bung in, Was one of the best sounding exhausts i have heard IMO, however without the bung it was just noise, Loud noise. It used to pop regularly on down change which i used to enjoy never didn't put a smile on my face but also bought alot of attention, which is not always to your advantage. The one thing i like most about the spec 2 is the way it looks. Hands down one of the best looking systems i have seen, its a shame it's so unbearable, when i had mine i spoke to shaun@buddyclub, and he can supply silencers to make them quiet enough to pass most track day regulations, he was very helpful, So would be worth bearing that in mind.

my mate had one of them on his type r it was very loud and raspy, i bought his buddy club spec 3 off him its loud but got a much nicer sound than the 2 :)

I got one on my ek9 and I love it but it's crazy loud, I got
chased by a bloke within the first 3 days of having it because it woke his kids up!

well that puts things into perspective... i think that i may just keep mine now lol

hahahahah that is pure awesome!

Yep, it does, spec 2= too loud, spec 3= Just right :nice:

The Spec 3 is still hella loud!
although mine was a striaght through with the mid silencer cut out

I even think the spec 3 exhaust is too loud. Isn't that above the legal limit to.

I'm a fan of both but i'm sure the spec 2 would only get you a day in court.

BC spec 2 and 3 should come with one of these

redonkulously loud systems. i think after a week or two of use the novelty will wear off and you will get sick of your ears bleeding! :wow:

Spec 3 not loud at all with the bung in, pretty subtle to be honest :)
