Depends on weight, what will the FL bonnet weigh?

I'd rather have a totally stripped to the bare bones light weight bonnet from carbon fiber bonnet than one with a heavy FRP skeleton.

its likely that the underside will be a FRP type material, much like the seibon bonnets ( which are excellent fit and finish by the way ). as for weight, im not sure, however, i was amazed how much the stock bonnet weighs, considering they are not the biggest bonnet iv ever seen on a car. the seibon carbon bonnet i put on my 9 was so much lighter so frp frames should not be snuffed at :s

going by the cost of these i would imagine they are of similar make style of the seibon. for a true dry carbon bonnet you are going to double the cost, perhaps even triple it! this is hardcore, and honestly only saves an extra little bit over the likes of a seibon. unless a big budget track car where every pound of weight matters, its overkill, and overspend.

what brand are these bonnets by the way?
 
i'b be looking for a facelift one i'm well not amused i missed the spoiler group buy! a got the money the gethier the week after it ended! :(
 
I guess it comes down to what you want from a carbon bonnet, I'd be happy with an extremely light one with good fitament rather than one which is heavier and longer lasting. My brother's carbon bonnet weighs next to nothing with the bare essentials inside it, I think its brand is MONSTER or something whereas I've heard that Seibon bonnets aren't anywhere near as light from what I've been told and seen.

is it not possible to remove the underside rib anyway? my spoon cf bonnet looks like it would be very easy to remove the underside reinforcement if need be.
also frp refers to carbon/kevlar fibre as well as glass fibre (fiber-reinforced polymer)
