Forza Tuning Challenge Round 1

I might give this a bash at the weekend if i get time......to confirm:

Only Honda
Class "C"
Can we modify/tune to high "C"
Manual Gears
All aids off
No triangles
Clutch optional?

Sound about right?

I tried manual clutch last night. Switched it back off adfter about 10 attempts, no way that's going to make me faster on FK! :nono:

Still lagging a long way behind my own ghost, utterly utterly baffled at how you guys are pulling 10 seconds out of the same car! :wow:

if your on forza later i'll share with you my em1 tune that i know is good for the low 1.40's ??? The manual clutch is a must for faster times though, if your running without abs it should be a doddle!

Cheers for the offer, but it kinda defeats the object of the game doesn't it... ;)

Messed around with my tune a lot last night trying different things, everything I did just made the car slower though, I think the problem is my driving, not the car.

I found the clutch too much of a fiddle to be honest, upshifts were fine and much quicker, but under braking I spent more time trying not to lock the brakes and missing the lines, it made me much much slower. Need more practice.

not really as i know my wee 94 civic is a good 2-3 seconds quicker due to it being lighter and having the same power! :naughty: I had to turn my ghost off as it kept getting im my way and distracting me! lol

i learnt it on nurburgring, if you can do it on there then you should adapt to FK fairly well. just keep going and the times will start to drop. i found ABS the hardest to learn but if you dont squeeze the trigger you wont lock up. just like pushing the pedal in real life lol

i need to have another go at the brakes, im too used just slapping the trigger and letting the abs sort it out!

I had a little play with this at the weekend, never really had a honda tuned to perfection so tried a lot of different set-ups...

All c type's including nsx
all lower with tuning

got down to 1994 civic was best...tried 1.5 non vtec engine, integra 00 engine, integra 02 engine, turbo's, supercharged, but still couldnt drop it down below 3:50's.

Tried all handelling mods and tuning but quickest was the N/A 1994 engine with slight mods and all handelling done, no idea how i can get it quicker

i see some are using that suggested line bollocks too! you dont have that in real life... :blabla:

the main thing i find with hondas is getting your gear ratio's correct for the track your racing on

Still lagging a long way behind my own ghost, utterly utterly baffled at how you guys are pulling 10 seconds out of the same car! :wow:

check out the replay on my storefront

the gear ratio's and heel toe braking/downshifting help to stablilize the rear end of the car in the down hill corners

what wheel set up are you using? cant find any decent wheels for the xbox and my microsoft one has died! looking into getting a fanatec one as thats the only compatable decent wheel / pedals that compare to the G25/27! Once i have a new wheel ill be on this!!!

Heel toe downshifting? The girls must love you with fingerwork like that! :naughty:

is today the last day of this challange or is it tomarrow?

Shall we say 9pm tonight? then whoever the winner is starts it tomorrow
i dont even know who the quickest is lol
