Got myself a new whip !

Alright guys so some of you may know the car from a few meets and falkirk cruises either that or seen me about Edinburgh.I'll post a few pics up anyways..

So i decided, owning it since November that being 18 and trying to run an EK9 is not the easiest thing in the world especially being part time ! Spoke to a mate when i was through livingston on sunday and i got talkin about my old Glanza,he showed me his mates Glanza and instantly I fell in love with it ! I was told he wanted another Civic so I was passed on to him and started speaking to the guy,cut a long story short we met on Monday and then met again Monday night and swapped !Got a spare set of wheels and tyres and got to keep my Bride and Takata,Broadway mirror and C-Pillar bar that's came from my old Glanza haha,sentimental value!,Apart from that it was a straight swap. Anyways enough chat.. I'll let the pics do the talking, i know i'm gonna get a lot of 'why would would you get rid of a 9 for a Glanza' but i have my reasons ! don't wanna post it all over the internet so i'll catch up with you guys at meets and stuff !

PPPPPPPIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

The car is pretty standard,running .4 bar on low boost and 1bar on high.K&N filter but it's still in the standard place so gonna get it relocated to just off the turbo ! hopefully get an HKS mushroom filter!Rota Gt3 wheels black with anodized red lip(got a spare set of multi-spoke TSW's aswell) lowering springs and shortened shocks,Standard top mount,B.O.V(no idea what make) Dual Beam H.I.D's,TOAD Alarm and a Nardi steering wheel !
Aftermarket backbox but really quiet which I actually really like ! bypass doesn't give me a sore head no more !

now I appreciate glanzas and GT's after owning one myself. but he definitely got a much better deal than you mate, that glanzas fairly standard and not worth as much as a 9.
But as long as your happy, any plans for the glanza?

yeah man there really nice cars,the best part about the 9 was the handling,super stiff on standard shocks..awesome ! never had a problem with it whatsoever.
I got the 9 fairly cheap back in november so it didn't owe me much buddy that's why i could let it go for a fairly standard glanza!
yeah buddy really happy,it's real clean and looks awesome,i'm sure it's had a respray at somepoint as it couldn't be original paint it's to smooth and shiny lol !

emm, after owning my previous glanza i know there notorious for understeer so a nice set of coilovers and a lot of stiffining up to be done! It came with no name bucket seats so i've took them both out fitted my bride and gonna buy a red recaro i think ! em i wanna get the front lip sprayed as it looks really flat, but apart from that i'm not entirely sure lol !

The glanza looks nice, but i think you pure crazy dude! That ek9 looked mint! No Glanza will ever have anything on a 9! But once your happy with it!

Had both a glanza and a ek9, the ek9 is a million times better in everyway imo, the glanza's handle like a shopping trolley, ek9 is much more of a drivers car. But aslong as your happy man, good luck with it

Aaaaah, so this is what you need that new gear knob for! Will miss seeing your old 9 at tesco man, but looks good. Will have to grab some pics at some point when i fix my lip (again....ffs).

Get the whiteline front and rear ARB's on it also, good improvement, also, you on tgtt.com? WickedEP doing some nice turbo kits now, a faster spooling td05 I think, and dropped the price on td04 kits a bit

i can vouge for the galanza as it was a boy at my work u swapped the 9 with very clean. and if your happy with it then good.

Yeah having my previous Glanza i know how awful the handling is ! Also heard of the whiteline ARBs,and an anti lift kit helps a fair bit! I'll see how it goes!

oh dear i went through the same thing about 2 years ago...
sold my EK4 for a starlet GT running 175hp.....
Sold it on after 4 months and bought an EG6..... Best moment of my life getting rid of that piece of crap... yeah they are tourquey fun little car's but once you take one for a serious drive and get used to throwing the car about, they are just well.... MEH is the best way to describe it...

in all honesty i drove a Fiesta Zetec-S 2002 model and it was much tighter and fun to drive than the glanza but not as fun as the civic hence i remain in a civic...

Have fun with your new toy though mate but i am sure you will want a civic back after time..

plan is to keep this for a bit and save money then buy a VSM Facelift 9 b18 or k20'd, so i know i want another civic already haha, just not got the cash at the minute and opted out of the 9 incase something went wrong and i had no car !

Nice Mikey always Been a fan of the glanzas I'd say it's a fair swap looks a clean glanza and your Ek paint was rough in areas eh. Always good to have a change plus I know what you mean about running costs these days , the reason I sold my eg6 ! Needs meet up again soon!
