It keeps on bothering me but I want to lower my car more. The only thing making me not want to is scraping the ground like on uneven grounds, driveways, and speed bumps. I just got my car painted for $2000. Right now, My lip is 5.4 INCHES off the ground. What is the LOWEST height you guys think I should go that will be SAFE to drive around the obstacles mentioned earlier?

Don't be like people who give me answers like "go all the way down" and crap. I want a safe and low height. U guys can give me height measurements in mm or watever too bc I know most of u guys are from foreign countries since this is a EK9 website. lol

I think 40mm is enough, you cud go lower but you will be having trouble that could be avoided and 40mm looks nice! :)

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just looked up how much is 40mm and it's 1.57 inches!!! Right now I'm 5.4 inches! That's so freakin low!

people say down to just above your tyres? depends what kind of area you live in, lots of speed bumps/pot holes?

When I got to school, there is like no speed bumps. Pot holes aren't like New York at my school but there is a good amount by I ALWAYS dodge them anyways.

dont lose your rag,40mm is average,id have said 50 tbh since pot holes are rare in the us.

OMG! I'm so stupid! I am the fool! I forgot to mention "measurement off the ground" on my original question. So how HIGH OFF THE GROUND should I be and still be safe guys? I say off the ground bc there is no way for me to measure 40mm lower than standard bc I don't know how to do that.

your question is like asking. how should i eat my food with a fork or spoon ?
there's no real answer to your question it all depend on how confortable you want to ride, road conditions, etc.

This is how high i ran my car on oem wheels, looked good and no issues with scraping etc

40mm on my old car and only ever scraped when i had like 2 or 3 people in it.
my new car i 50mm and apparently my manifold sparks when im in vtec on country roads :p

40mm lowering springs is usually what people lower their cars by when they dont want to go to low, coilovers is your best option as you can pick any height you want,

i think mine is down around 80mm not 100% on that because its on coilovers, could be more or could be less, and yes it scrapes everywhere

a nice 35mm drop is more than enough m8 :) once u start lowering to stupid heights things start to wear a lot quicker bushes etc and u will go through splitters at a rate of knotts haha
