Jesse888 Forged/stroker turbo ek9

I'd nipped the wastegate back up but your probably right, slight exhaust leak still.
Didn't really run any richer than normal until on track, perhaps the heat opened the gap up abit.
Blueprint joints have a nilock but not a split pin.
Needless to say I'll be drilling a hole in them and running a pin through that. Or swap for another set of rod ends.

I'm thinking about swapping the diff out for something alittle less aggressive, or atleast trying to tame this kazz with different oils, that's really effecting my confidence sticking the car into a corner aswell.
With the alignment all screwy and the diff I just couldn't hold a decent line through anything without massive effort on the wheel.

Seems like the engines sorted which is the main thing man!

It does buddy, next thing for the engine is an oil change, that should tell me abit more about it but I'd expect it too have had issues by now. ESP seen as its been round the ring 10 times lol

Yes mate they where in a m5 ring taxi, i was never on the track at the same time as you. Was in my carbon black e46 m3 from fri until today.

Weather was glorious but i only managed high 8 mins. My rear wheels kept catching on the arches and track got closed alot.

Got some mental footage of a bmws cooling system exploding infront of me at 120 mph and sending it spinning into the armco. Which closed sunday night!

So small update.
Not been doing anything with the civic since parking it up after the ring trip.
Been planning my next mods to come back faster/more drivable.
The chassis is desperate for a bush kit so that's high on priorities.
Want to try and tame the diff alittle so that I can actually control the direction the car takes.
Bias tap in the brake line, having bias issues with the new rear pads locking up before I feel I'm getting good use of the fronts.
New front wheels are coming tomorrow! Been waiting around 5-6weeks for them to be made and finally got the call today, will update when delivered!
So simple service today,

Thought I'd try a genuine Honda filter for the first time, I've always used HAMP but thought id give them ago, I've found the HAMP filters are basically empty every filter change(they drain back to the sump)
Also got some mtf3 and slip modifier to try and tame the Kazz diff.
This seems to have worked abit too well it seems. Zero low speed clunking or snatching but on the small test drive I didn't spin the inside wheel so it must be working still. Only added 2% modifier (40ml) to the box and it seems to have really knocked the edge off. Trackday to be sure but if not I'll have to drain half the oil out and refresh.

Next batch of oil, 10w/50 millers CFS as usual.
Old filter showed next to zero metal in the oil but we did have a fair amount on the sump plug, that's after roughly 1400miles and abusive miles at that. Not too worried about the swarfy plug.
Noticed my oil pressure on wot is higher than its ever been. It now hits 90psi so I can only assume this is the filter as the oil is the same as before so only change is the filter.
So life is good ATM, engine works and plans are in motion to develope the car abit further over the winter.

so today is my birthday. 25, getting on abit now lol
Get home from work and see I have a delivery.

They've even got my name on lol

Made to order Team dynamics pro race 1.2s
15x8 et35
I only ordered two for the front as I don't really want/need an 8j rear rim as I run staggered tyres anyway.
Weighed on a set of bathroom scales shows about 6.5kg a wheel.

Lovely surprise mate !! enjoy your day :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY !

they are gonna look proper tasty !

Yeah I made abit of a booboo, finding 225/45/15 semi slicks is abit of an issue lol
We got unknown dmack tyres or old school r888s.
I'm not too keen on paying good money for r888 as I feel they aren't that great compared to other semi slicks I've used. But looks like I'll have to get over it lol

Was going to paint a pair of my wedsports black and run them behind these, but I kind of like the mismatched wheels thing tbh. Becauseracecar!

Can't believe I forgot to post my ring lap videos!
We know about the issues I had which is a shame but before most of those issues I managed to get an 8:20 in. Not exactly setting the track on fire but for a banker lap early on(how I saw it at the time) it's a decent little lap.
Here's that lap

The lap before this we where held up alittle by a bad ass Mercedes! Turn your volume up and you should hear this thing! When I first get behind it me and my passenger are think "**** were tearing up a tyre on something" but we soon realise it's the sound of the merc Infront! The thing was ballistic fast!

So after these two fun laps the problems really started coming.
Blown wastegate gasket=little power
Cracked brake discs=down time
Cv boots leaking grease=cv knocking on hard turns
All of these issues are easily worked around and not particularly dangerous except the cracked discs.
Little did I know that the bolts on the drivers side camber arm had come loose and allowed the adjustment to move freely, I knew the alignment was off from the start of the trip really but it had got worse through out the trip.
With all the issues laptimes got worse, without any real reason(that I knew at the time) so 2nd to last lap I'm thinking its me not being man enough. Start to push beyond the limit of the car(due to alignment) it was this lap I knew something was up, within a minute I had been thrown up a curb and the car was just driving like a pig. Try to push through it and come as close as I'd ever like to come to the barrier.
A fast left/right section that dips and twists(epic fun) very nearly spat me into the wall. Threw me VERY wide as the wheel essentially did nothing, luckily I managed to get on the brakes and pull it in abit, flew up the curb and bounced down the track trying to get on the brakes to slow it down for the next corner!
Obviously the way the EK suspension works as camber goes positive/negative it has a huge effect on toe. As I've hit the left the wheels forced upright, going massively toe out and giving me not only vague steering but obviously requiring more steering effort to get the wheels to turn.
Anyway enough chat about it, have a look for yourself!

So this is why the whole car is getting a rebush and some work on the chassis.

Its easy correct a fwd car when the back goes on a motorway or straight road or when the front goes.

But when ur on track balls deep an goin into multiple corners, thats the last thing u want to happen.

So fair play. very easy lose it haha

More the alignment playing up i think.

Nice videos from the burg jesse... Also 25 is a good age, 26 is when it becomes gay

Mercedes sounds like its powered by nuclear waste, what a snort

Yeah the merc was pretty powerful! Left me on the straights and I was running approx 300hp so he's pushing a lot of power to push that beast along.

Oh yeah me too. Beastly noise on the merc though!

Lucky with that at the ring could have been so much worse! Loving the custom team dynamics!

SICK ! just watched all 3 with a morning coffee, slacking at work Haha.

did i hear you say "that's my top speed i'm stuck at 112" at one point ? i was going to ask what the top speed you hit was but that answers it.
Your driving looks great dude, very confident, you were passing so many car's in that first video was awesome fun to watch.
It was a strange feeling knowing the track having never been, too much forza :nerv: haha. obvisouly to drive it is another story.
and that near miss !?! Offffft i would have lost all confidence then and crawled round haha. at times i could feel my hands getting sweaty just watching so me driving it i think i'd have to wear gloves otherwise i'd be losing grip on the wheel.

Really cool videos man, thanks for posting.

Top speed up the hill was 120mph but that's without lifting for traffic. 112mph was with a tiny lift to be sure I was going to clear the traffic in time for the corner.
112mph is pretty shocking considering the power the car makes. I pulled more than that in N/A b18 form 2 years ago...
The engine is good as it pulls hard on the street but it seemed to die out on the track. Possibly heatsoaked or something.
Top speed on the entire track was 140+mph on a different section of track(earlier on in the lap so possibly not heat soaked yet?)
All the issues put an end to anything better than 8:20 unfortunately but no doubt I'll go back and hopefully have more luck.
