Jesse888 Forged/stroker turbo ek9

aw **** haha so uv to start again what a dose

Ah well u did it before ul do it again says you haha

Yeah it's not that much work to put it right tbh. Half of it I can remember off my head.
Even a fresh map I recon I'd have it back within an hour

Brilliant stuff jesse! Seems you have the head for all the tech stuff ,
Keep up the good work mate .

So no real updates in ages!
Basically I've been to brands and finally killed these standard brakes off. Think it's sticking on the passenger side.
Resulting in this.

Despite this I still managed a 57.5 (1.1secs off the PB) and I was really hindered in the braking zones and subsequently corner entry so I'm all but certain with working brakes I'll fly past my PB at 0.5bar boost.
Gaining more confidence in the corners now I've taken the splitter off (too much oversteer) So I'm hoping for 55sec laps next dry day I get.

I've ordered freakyparts 310x32mm 4 pot wilwood setup and rc6 pads that's due for delivery next week. The size of these brakes gave me another issue.... getting wheels that will go over them. Ended up buying these from Matt (k24 itb beast build on here)

16x8 et30 and they weigh a measly 5.7kg each! Very happy with them! Almost a shame to put them on a track car with rc6 (wheel death) pads but they are the only wheel I found to definitely clear atm.

Not got round to fixing the tune again yet and that will now how have to hold off until I get road legal tyres again.

Those wheels are amazing mate! Always wicked updates in here, so you feel better without the front splitter?

Yeah definitely better without the splitter. I was having to correct the rear on fast corners far to much and it was just lairy. Epic fun but i do want to go fast aswell lol It needs a rear wing if I'm going to run with a splitter I think.
I'll run it how it is for this year and then look into it next year I think.

Thats interesting about the splitter never thought about it

Yeah I was surprised it made such a difference to the balance of the car. I took it off because it broke (only plywood) and the difference is night and day.

Interestingly I run a wing and no front splitter, and find it really well balanced. I'm going to try a splitter again at Oulton to see what difference it makes again.!

Only difference i made was I put the rear damping one click softer(of 5 settings). Although this would have helped I do now have a cage so it's stiffer back there than before.

Was this pro race 1s in 15"? On the 310mm wilwoods?
I had the midi lights in the wilwoods I believe there was plenty of clearance, I got the wheels on eBay advertised for a Mazda 323 but brand new came from factory perfect fit were 7 wide tho so dunno if that would affect your grip etc

It's only for a cheaper set of tyres to go on that could double as track wets. Don't want to be running these TE37S and expensive semi slick rubber on the road too much

Right still waiting on brakes! Ment to have been despatched today though so hoping Monday is the day for them.
Bought a new pair of tyres for the TE37s. Dunlop dz03g in 225/45/16, my favourite lol
So the cars been sat doing nothing, I decided to upgrade the wiring to the fuel pump, the stock wires are abit small and cause the pump/fuel pressure to pulse at higher pump output. You can even hear the pump slow down when the indicators are going which is no good when your running alot of boost! Now I wasn't having the pressure issue at the power I'm running(that I'm aware of) but soon enough I'll be asking abit more from the pump and I don't want these sort of issues.
So 12gauge(I think) wire straight from the battery to a relay (I used the heater relay as I don't have a heater anymore) then from relay to pump and then back to earth. The standard wires now act as the switch that turn the relay on.

So power wise I just need a set of larger injectors and preferably some valve springs and I can push this turbo! I'm going to lean out the fueling to see if I can squeeze abit more out of these 725s for now but the brakes and more tracktime is the priority atm.
Hopefully we have some serious updates next week!

Funny that, I'm just on with the same job ready to fit my larger injectors lol.

Was quite straight forward in the end. Much simpler than I first thought.

I take it you're using the original fuel pump feed to energise the relay?

That's correct. A friend of mine said he was only getting 10v at his pump before.

Yeh the voltage drop will be quite a lot if you think of the length of the wire and the gauge of the original wire.
I was going to install my new pump tomorrow and was thinking of doing just this!

You should notice the difference.
