Awesome car ! Much prefer the shape of these to the newer ones.

Is the lift off oversteer as bad as people make out ?

Well as promised lads time for my winter update. Have decided to take the car off the road to get some much need work done under the car. The guy i purchased the car off had said it had been undersealed previously which like all good car sellers talks a good game but i found ti hard to believe at the time. I have since taken all of the plastic guards off the arches as well as the front and rear bumpers in order to make a start on taking back the paint under the arches and behind the bumpers to its barest. I plan to get the underside of the car painted as well as most of the parts under the car refurbed so by next summer it will be a finished article underneath. I knwo that these are prone to rusting behind the plastic shields however i was very impressed with how solid the metal was behind, no rot to be seen just surafce discoloration which i would expect anyway. There was one slight problem when i took the front guards off as mud had got trapped in between the wing and had caused both inner sills to slightly hole, nothing big however i could tell that they had never been taken off the car which i dont knwo whether to believe is a good or a bad sign. either way i will be getting the wings off over the next week or so to get the main root of the problem.

Anyhow enough of me going on i have now attached my steps taken below:

Began by stripping the car:

Underside of the car was in great condition with again only minor surface peeling

Next to come off were the plastic guards and the back bumper:

As you can see arches are failry mint will sand them down and wirebrush to get any excess debris off before i steam genie

Next onto the front end and once again same as the rear was in great condition overall i was very impressed with the car so far......

My next step is to get the wheels off and get it outside to steam genie the underside as well the arches.

More updates to come in the following week :)
