Just went through my receipts for my car and I'm in a bit of shock !
Adds up to just over ? excluding price of car ,
Expensive hobby!

Got my 4 branch on today with decat ,
But it was blowing on no1 runner just as it go's in to the
Flange, needs a little weld and be right as rain,
Went for a spirited drive and smoke was pumping
Out of my bay , near shite me self, no fire just
All the heat wrap burning oil and crap off .
Managed to push the tie that holds to heat wrap up
We're it was blowing and kind of fixed it for now ,
#band aid ! Will get pictures tomorrow.
Soo much more power in vtec ,
Car lifts a little when I hit vtec !

Quick weld should fix it ,
Now finding a good welder in dublin ?
 
Went to a friendly garage today to get my maxim works header welded ,
Robbie the owner is a sound fella and Greg also ,
So left the 4.2.1 with him and he said he will fix my header stripped bolts ,
Got new Tegwia bolts from Redpower motorsports
Henry in there is a sound man always willing to help .

Cracking on with the exhaust mods, car looks well
 
Yeah I won't use it after it basically destroyed the surface of a feels manifold I had once.
I'd rather have the heat in the engine bay lol
 
Got 4,2,1 back today, all welded up around the tops ,
And had a mild heart attack also ,
We tapped 4 stud on the block as they were
Streped, used heilcoils but some went in a little
Crooked cos the 4.2.1 would not go on :angry:
Got it on eventually , so I started to breathe again :woot:
I will Put up pic's tomorrow .

not a big fan of heatwrap too better ceramic coat.
aluminum is very tricky.

Yeah thanks man ,nightmare it was , I thought the manifold flange were all the bolts go warped after he welded the top of the runners, but that's fine.
 
Love the sound of my maxim works header with decat and mugen twin loop,
Had her out today for play , great sound and power ,
In 1st take off she is bonkers! Love it haha good for stress relief. ;)
 
Small hicup ,when we cleaned up the welds on my decat and welded it , I forgot to give it a wire brush and in low rpm I can hear little bit of metal charterin around inside my exhaust :angry: have to take it back off and get the shite out lol. Apart from that, all good , also got some of the good stuff, lucas oil to use as a top up on 5w30 valvaline fully synthetic, it should make it a little thicker and lucas oil are great for the hondas Imo .
