Matt's K20 CW EK9

So the B16B came out last night. Hopefully get the wire tuck underway & possibly see the K20 in.

Good to see some more progress. You've got through this kswap pretty quick!

It's been rapid!! Like just over a month ago I decided to do it I think lol!

Edit: was April 29th actually! Still fast lol

Madness! I need a better job I think, could have a k in mine before the ring lol

Haha well, it helps :D can't believe it's actually being done... All a bit surreal. Be like a kid at Christmas once i go to get it

Yeah it's petrolhead heaven when you're driving a newly mapped/swapped car! The excitement is pretty strong lol

Excellent, you'll have to let me know what you think.

The difference between the two engines is unbelievable and the gearing on the 6 speed makes a hell of a difference too.

Here's mine before and after:

And that is a bone stock engine with my old 2.5" exhaust, a cheap and nasty (temporary) manifold and a 4" blox filter - hardly in a high state of tune really! Yours should be even better with the RBC too.
I'll be going back to RDT with it when Will's got a few hours free. Needs a tweek now I've done the 3" exhaust. Probably a few hours to be gained there too!

Fair doos!! I really can't wait.

Mine will be running -
RBC 70mm intake manifold
S90 70mm throttle body
K-Tuned 4-2-1 header
5zigen 2.5" exhaust
AEM 3" intake
KPro

Hoping for at least 230 at flywheel tbh

This should be good!
What you going to do with the power steering? Remove or retro fit a electric pump or dc5 pump?

:D hopefully.

Power steering is being removed. Never had a car without it but I'm told it's only noticeable when you're below like 5mph. I will run it without, see what it's like and can always change my mind later on. Doubt I will though.

DC5 pump and that is mega expensive lol! And the Hybrid Racing kit to install it all.

Just got a power steering delete kit off bolts bolts to loop the rack and stop it running dry ;)

It'l be fine, I've had loads of older cars with no power steering, you just get used to it.
If you don't like it there is always the electric pump option, (pump from a saxo or similar)

I'm sure it will be :) plus better feedback and feel through steering. Don't think I'll miss it at all haha. Yeah always an option!

Subframe is now on & rack looped.

Manual steering is a must for a track car IMO. The feel is much improved!

You've doubled your power at 5.5k. That really shows the advantage of the kswap not just the peak figures.

There's a lot more in it for the taking still in my case. I'd expect the 3" exhaust to eliminate the torque drop at 7k. I've seen plenty make around 220-230whp on the RDT dyno with a 3" exhaust, RBC and good cams.

Though I think I'll just throw some boost an mine now though!

Wire tuck & battery/fuse box relocate almost done! Nearly engine time :D
