We went around the coast of Ireland from Rosslaire to Bantry then explored all the mountain passes on the beara, ring of kerry and dingle peninsulas for a few days, including the stunning healey and connor passes! then up to the mountains of conemara, then up to donegal then over the top to crolly for a free day and around the coast road to visit carrick a rede rope bridge and giants causeway, then all the way down to dublin for a free day, then into the wicklow mountains and back to the first campsite in Wexford! and epic trip, with some simply mental roads, my car has taken some serious abuse and is booked in monday morning to get looked at:((

The Healey pass in particular was a highlight of the trip! we where parked up waiting for our mate to get to the top and a VZR N1 absolutly thrashed it past up, sounded insane, heading for the pass!! we went up and got told on the radios we had a clear road, i was in 1st and 2nd gear the whole way!!!! a stunning drive see below!

Great write up bud, nice to see guys from the UK coming over here for a road trip.

Some cracking views im sure you seen thou lot of the roads are more suited for a jeep or likes !

Oh definatly!! my car bottomed out loads! one road through the macgillycuddy reeks took 1hr10 mins to travel 19 miles!!! awesome road, the farmers gave us such puzzled looks, the grass in the middle of the road was really thick in places! cleaned my exhaust up well tho!!

Ive allways wanted to go back and drive Ireland after family hollidays there, such amazing roads! but next time i think a bowler wildcar would be more suited to the roads!! my car is a state and needs some serious fixing:mad:
had an awesome time and would love to go back again the people and scenery are awesome!!!

Hope you enjoyed it man , got some alright weather for it too

My manifold must have been very close at times, it was mainly my middlebox that skimmed the odd rock in the road, the suspension bottomed out a few times on a few of the very bumpy roads in conemara and donegal!! cars in at the moment getting fixed from the trip, the Irish roads managed to break a few bits, no suprise really!!

We drove from clifden through the mountains to Donegal town stayed 2 nights in a campsite in crolly, went for a blast around the Glenveaugh national park, (the R251 is awesome!) and went to some beaches near the airport then went on up to the giants causeway, donegal is stunning, never been before!! but will be back!!:nice:
