Newbie here so thought I would post a couple pictures of my EK9 I recently bought from DrMikey. Big thanks to Mike for a hassle free deal and putting up with my 101 questions and to Kris! for pulling a hardcore shift to deliver the car from Wales to Glasgow. Great guys to deal with. I've owned a few Honda's before but after having a few years away from them i've got the Honda itch again and I decided I would build myself a EK9 Track/Race toy over winter.

Will post up a build up thread when I start working on the car more. Thanks for looking, any comments welcome.

What engine setup are you going for?????

Lol yeh it was me, after seeing the car I had to have it. :) Noticed you posted about it a couple of days after I got it.

My original plan was to run a K24 block and K20 head but I think the new plan is to run a cam'd K20. Not seen many reliable k24's in UK yet so decided that the K20 is probably the best option for just now but seems like the Americans are able to run the K24's fine and some are even running 2.65l k24's now! :O

WILL aka EK9turbo on hear has alot of contacts in the US & more than knows his stuff, so if you were looking to go down the K24 route then i would speak to him about it!:secret:
 
welcome back to the honda seen, got some nices hondas there. and i can see you have a porche how is that compare to the ek9 choice ;)
 
That's one hell of a base car you got there, can't wait to see the build up on this!

Any reason why your ABS module is mounted in that location though? Was it moved during its K20 days?

Thanks for the welcome back K1ryu, Lol not sure i can compare my GT3 to the EK9 yet since it has no engine. The GT3 is a fantastic car but I'm not brave enough to risk that on track yet so the EK9 will be perfect for track duties :)

Thanks Jokeshopbeard, Yeh the reason for the ABS module to be mounted in that position is due to the way the K20 sits in the engine bay. I'm still debating whether to run the ABS or to take it out. Heard some mixed opinions about removing it.

What wheels are they, may i ask? ukdm teg wheels?

Thanks Kaks, Cant wait to get it running so I can take it out for its first drive :D

Yeh the wheels are UK 15" ITR wheels. Not sure yet what wheels I plan to run the car on once its finished. Would love some Volk CE28's.

Hopefully progress on the car will pick up at the end of this month, got exams till the 25th so not getting a chance to do any major work yet.
 
thats an quality base jag!, really lookin forward to seeing how this one turns out!, i need to up my game! haha
