My new ek9 accident, gutted!

gutted for you mate, remember they gauge how much it will cost to repair against the value of the car as ek9's aint your average civic i'd say you'll get that repaired. comes to the worst buy it back from insurance company and buy another one.
hope it gets proven that she was in the wrong i'm sure you can 'find' a witness

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot Belive that........that car was Soooooo F%£N MINT!!!!!

update, phoned the body shop today and they have said the estimate is upto around £4000 :O. i have asked them to fax over a copy of it for me. so i'll probably post it up on here and you guys can see what you think.

in which case, yeah they're prob gonna write it off. they're obviously going to honda for quotes.

shame.

yes i believe they did mate. but why not repair it? cost them less money...

think i might take there quote and pics for a second opinion, what you think?

Surely you can go to a bodyshop, get a quote and if its cheaper forward it to the insurers?

lets hope its not a write off!
im genuinely gutted for you mate, even tho i didnt buy the car in the end i really really liked it :(

write it off even thought the repair costs are about half of what the cars worth? duncans silver is up for £7800ish, and everybody knows there rare. so repair costs are probably 50% of what the cars worth.

they'd be STUPID to write it off! I feel for you man... but you can buy it back and sell the parts and buy another EK9.
But hopefully they'll fix it instead.
HONDA PRICES=FTL

i would have to agree with what someone stated before.the pictures speak for themselves.by looking at the location of your car and all the debri, you can tell where the impact happened.even if she moved her car right away, the debri from your car is still where it initially hit.that should speak for itself.there is no way that you can go 50/50 on this.good luck with getting the car repaired.by the way, what the hell does gutted mean:angry2:?

Such a beautiful 9 bruised in 4 days. OUCH! I had the same thing happen to my in my EM1 once before, back in 01. Glad I didn't have my CTR facelift then.

sure you cant source pars cheaper buddy? and fit some of it yourself? i re-shelled my 9 with a mate. be a shame for the car to be scrapped! :))

just looked at this thread, feel for you bud as it looked a cracking car.

just looked at the quote there, says £40 for new grill, its more like £120 from honda

hope things work out or you :secret:

Don't get a garage to do it they'll charge through the roof, they bump up the price for insirance claims. So many times when i've gone to get quotes for paint work etc etc the first thing they ask me is "insurance job or personal".

Matt o done his for like 3k max and he was quoted over 10k from a garage! At those prices you'd be better breaking the good stuff from it and buying another 9.

Anyway really **** and feel for you man. Some people really need to learn how to drive.

Hope you get it sorted and keep us posted on the outcome.
