Another Quick Snap of the New Brace on the car


And i finally got some new droplinks (Big thanks to Mitch on here top seller!)

Got round to fitting them last night as ive got my MOT today! at my mates work he has a quarantine room with its own shutter door so i got to use that so i could avoid the **** weather & put it on blocks and fit the Droplinks at full weight

Tiny update from the other day, my mate with a dub persuaded me to de-badge the back, TBH im not sure if i prefer it or not :S

Excuse the reflection with my finger up....... it was the pic i sent him after id spent over an hour getting rid of all the left over glue on the car, after he said "itll come off easy with some hot water and a hair dryer".... the badges havnt a trace of glue on them, every last bit of it stayed on the car Grrr anyways... its done! Not sure if it was worth the effort tbh lol

Either way ive still got the badges so if i change my mind i can put em back on, it seemed more subtle with the badges on IMO

Finaly some updates! Long awaited tbh!!

First i picked up theese off chrisyboi on cl.... Cheers dude

I got up at 7am and was up in ross on wye at Si_vti's work ready to go by 8:30am,
First time in months ive been up so early!!
Il start off by thanking si....... ****ing legend of a guy, doing all this without him in the time we did , without be being able to do it at his work would of been maximum ballache, instead it was a laugh and didnt take very long at all considering!

So.... To start off we got rid of all the old bits off the car that were being replaced, Started off with suspension. (and checking the damage some cats-eyes did to my H-brace the other day) :O

Old Suspension Off.. along with 3point, MC stopper, MC / Servo , Intake, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Oil Filter (and drained oil), My big box of goodies! (new filters / suspension & and a piece of carbon to make something with (thanks again si)

New Oil & air Filter in! ALong with a bit of cut up air intake... which youl see why in a second!

Cutting up some CF tubing to make a new intake elbow, just becuase its CF

New Fuel Filter in!

Greasing up the new suspension ready to go on!

Pulling some stance while putting the new stuff in!

Dont worry in the arches will be cleaned soon!

Planning the intake, Cut the CF pipe & then bonded the CF to the OEM intake pipe with a bit cut off it .... Nice!

Putting it all back together

Intake on, New suspension on and brace back on, EK9 MC & servo (thanks livvy... took me long enough to get it fitted!!)
,...... All filters changed etc , Jobs a good un!!!

The Join Between the OEM & CF is Floorless, Nicely Bonded by Si!

Will get some pics soon when ive finally cleaned it after over a month lol Still gota lower the front a TINY bit more but the handling is awesome, having been able to go nuts with it yet but feels really good on twisties!!!!
Went for a wee drive up the malverns with si but the roads we abused before were too wet & scary so thought wed best stop and just hiked up the hill instead followed by a 8oz candle lit burger & chips,


Random... but i got quite a shock on my way home about 5mins after departing.... was driving along to see this car hit a parked car (while coming towards me) do a barrel roll and land on its roof.....

... the woman driving it just climbed out and was absolutely fine...Phew

Car must be looking sweet dude if ur causing people to loose concentration and crash! Lucky she got out safe. Loving the white 3 point! need to colour code the rest of the parts now tho don't ya. Can't be doing ur car much good that H brace, is it a worthy mod??? Still one of the best cars around dude easilly the best VSM EK4 in Bromsgrove hehe have to meet up again soon!

lol its the only vsm ek4 in bromsgrove as far as im aware haha yeah deffo mate, well get a drive on and some pics! Nah tbh it hasnt caused any damage to the car just bent itself! its a fairly worth mod, feels a bit sharper on turn in but more than anything if the H-brace wasnt taking the beating then my manifold would be so im leaving it on there for protection

lol cool, if its protecting ur mani then sounds worth while to me! You shouldn't have any problem hitting the floor now with the Meister R setup, i've only touched a couple of nasty speed bump tops and mine was few cm's lower than urs at the meet last Monday. Yea we'll get a mini meet going for Bromsgrovians soon its also easilly the nicest facelift civic in bromsgrove too hehe!

Spend sunday giving it a much needed clean including all in the arches etc to keep my threads clean and the scum away from the camber adjusters etc, Nice and clean and then copper slipped the threads Also adjusted my ride height down a touch as i could get away with a littttle bit more before scraping on my drive haha Also replaced my tein stickers with MiesterR ones to keep it upto date
(was checking the clearance on the H-brace & thought the light looked cool! Cant really see the new stickers but they are there!)

Then the cleaning & Adjusting!

Back has settled a bit more now... handbrake wasnt off lol

Unexpected update! Got my spoiler tilted by Mr Si_vti and a quick clean ready for the EK9 wheels 2morrow ..... fudgin OEM droplinks dont fit F7 LCA's gotta buy some aftermarket ones now! dammit!

yo man nice build.. one question. How do u tilt up the stock spoiler? damn looks good...

Cheers mate its taken a while but havnt done much visually really , i will one day once i get the bodywork sorted, not alot tho haha i like the oem'ness haha

Spoiler tilt was done with some spacers and longer bolts on the stock bolts, i just thought it gave it that slightly more aggresive look without buying a new spoiler Can be done with just a pile of washers if you dont have any spacers so ive heard!!
