Yes I only want the quick release wheel for theft reasons... In Japan EK9 and DC2 are two of the most stolen cars.....easy to get into, and easy to get good money for the engines. But theft here is much better than in the UK/US etc...but it still exists.

Welcome to the forum mate.
You will be itching to get your hands on your new ek9 :D .

Would love to stay in Japan... me and my mate are planning to go to TAS in 2013.

I will not get to TAS but I will go to Osaka Auto Messe next year. I missed it 4 times in a row, so must get there this time! It is mainly neon/sound system show cars there, but I am sure there will be some good stuff too...

I went to pick up the car on Wednesday, but was missing a much needed certificate of proof from the government which shows that my hanko, is actually mine! Hanko is the name stamp you use in Japan to sign for everything. aaaahhh...so close, so far.

Anyway, I will be back this Wednesday (my only day off), to pick it up, hopefully.

I got to check it out again and checked out some of the mods it has....which include.

Buddy Club Racing Spec exhaust system.
DC2 98 spec header.
Splitfire plug leads.
Top Fuel Zero-100 air intake.
Tein Type Flex suspension in very clean condition (phew...money saved!)
Rays TE-37 white rims, in 16x7
Advan AD07 205/45/16 (Do you guys think I should put some 225's on the front?! I have 4 sitting at home....the only reason I ask)
Panasonic Strada Navigation, in dash.
Low Position recaro rails on the drivers seat.
Rear strut tower bar, forgot to check brand.

-----------------
Things I have ready to fit once I get the car.....
Bride Zeta III - L - black bucket seat
Bride Ergo II - black passenger seat
Takata MPH340 harness
Works Bell RapFix II w/lock thing...
Nardi Classic wheel
225 front Advan AD07 tyres (stupid idea?)
Spoon twin block calipers
Spoon alumi shift knob
HKS Super Racing spark plugs
Weds Sport 5.1 brake fluid
---------
Things I do not have yet, but will fit asafp.... (as soon as financially possible!)

New disk rotors
new street pads (and spare race pads!)
new brake lines
LSD (Cusco RS, OS Giken), something like that.
Light flywheel, at the same time as doing the LSD.

The Osaka Auto Messe sounds like a good show.
I know the japs are mad with neons and sound systems :D

Thats a pretty impressive list of spec there.
Deffo need to get lots of pics when you finally pic the car up :nice:

Welcome to the forum. Very detailed posts, you sound like a real petrol head! Looking forward to seeing some pics when you get your EK9 :nice:

Thanks again, guys.
I went back to the dealer, but need some more paperwork.....so I was told. In Japan you need to jump through several small hoops before you can actually take a car home! ha ha.... luckily last time I bought a car here it was from a psychotic loner who lived in the mountains and did not know the law...... (that is another long story, that I might post on here later....) The plus was that I got the car home the day after I bought it.... Dealers are more thorough.
I get my police-issued 'parking sticker thing' on tuesday, send it express to the dealer, and they should have the car ready and legal by the following Wednesday....yes it is killing me. aaah!

glad to hear things are moving forward for u dude, slowly but surely ;)
