is there potential to lighten the shell of the nsx? thats alot heavier than i thought it would be!

Hell yeah, the chassis isnt that heavy, its all the added extra's and interior so I reckon I can get 100kg out easily, and another 50kg+ if Mike gives me the all clear to go crazy lol (we havent been over it in great detail yet, but there is so much that can be removed so it will be interesting to see what we can get it down too)

Yes I dont think we can go mad cutting panels out as its all there for a reason. But as Kris said, its all the creature comforts (stereo, electric seats, leather interior, heaters, ABS which weighs a tonne.

Paid a visit to John Danby Racing on Friday Race Car Preparation Essex, Race Car Engineering Essex, Lotus Specialist who are preparing the Rob Fenns Endurance NSX Honda NSX : PROJECT NSX

Very nice bloke and gave me lots of inspiration and ideas although they have spent about 100k on their car so its inspiring, if not affordable!

Still, because of his advice we will be stripping her to pieces next week - ripping out all the electrics and starting again
