New to site***DOHCIVIC's rebuild thread***


Well sorry I have been taking so long to update everyone but with the hatch rebuild, christmas and my girls birthday Jan 2nd I had to work alot to keep the cash coming... Well the hatch is tuned and back on the road...

I'll get dyno videos up in a little bit...

The engine and clutch are now broken in and working on getting a AEM EMS and wideband... Should have it by the end of Jan and will get retuned... I'm not happy with the tuning program I have now(eCtune)

Well been working here and there on it... added a tial external wastegate to it... Made 330whp but then something happened to my car and now it just breaks up in higher rpms... Going to work on it next weekend to try and fix the issue

Oh and I won June ride of the month on importsnc.com

spark breaking down at high boost / rpms?

I forget, what kinda ignition system you running? if not already may be worth going external coil etc....

My friends and I agree that the issue is with the L bend right off the turbo... It starts out 3" but bottle necks dow to under 2" then my exhaust opens it back to 3"... It's greddy's design, why, I don't know but I am going to work on changing it next weekend.

I want to get the car right because I am planning on selling it to work on my 77 civic... I know I put money and time in this car but don't we all... I am planning on buying a 370z and putting my profits from the 99 into the 77
 
just read this from page 1 realy impressive build mate wish i had the money / time and another mode of transport so i could get mine to similar standard! attention to detail is awesome mate props to you!, if it was me id still be NA but that is going to be a monster when finished! dyno run vids are cool 8) keep it comin!
