Wow, What a read 10/10 for effort!

Seen this for sale would have loved to have bought it! I get the impression it would drink the petrol haha!

Where'd you get your Import plates from they look legit?

Oh yeh and I think the red Ej9 your parked next to at the dundee meet is bartlett's (very clean)

Cheers

cheers lads. to be fair vito its not the most economical 1.6 but its not too bad at the same time especially on the motorway. got the plates from ebay mate and yeh they are 100% legal. also your right the red ej9 is my friend keiths car. its a very clean motor indeed

Unreal this! so much effort gone into it. If only i had the talent/motivation/money to do something like this haha!

I should have been in bed 40mins ago but I happened to stumble upon this thread just befor I logged off... :p

Great read, inspirational to see that much time, effort and detail going into a car. :)

Great job mate :nice:

Nice work again dude. Can I ask why you stripped the existing paint off the strut brace and plug cover first rather than painting over the top of what was already there? Seems a slightly long way round to me?

Thanks for the kind words mate. i stripped the paint down because the old paint was flaking and i wanted the new paint to bond directly onto the bare metal for a more durable and smoother finish. preparation is the key to a good professional finish imo.

That totally makes sense but from the pictures it looked like everything was A OK just a tad faded! Keep up the top work dude, does the car run an intercooler at all?

This is the most meticulous build I have seen so far. Well done. When I get my 9 I will be referring to this post for sure.

cheers mate. The car isnt intercooled/aftercooled yet but i will possibly be looking into it once i get the mapping done. But to be honest im not wanting to chase big numbers but rather have a well set up car with a little bit more power and torque. Plus i would really rather spend the money on better gearing i think

What an effort been put into this car  was a good read!

Looking forward to seeing the numbers when mapped :naughty:

wow such an inspiring thread!!! great job on the ek man... post more update pics if u can thanks...
