Me and my dad are planning on heading over in start/mid May time next year, although we'll be getting the ferry from Newcastle - Amsterdam. But would be cool if we could meet a lot of you guys over there? I'll have my DC2 by then and my dad will be taking his DC2 aswell :nice:.

I def. Want to go back to the ring next year. So might check in this topic to see of i can plan my weekend as well. Funny that people want to take the ferry from newcastle-amsterdam. You end up in the docks of IJmuiden, whch is 2 minutes from my home...

I am looking at going back in June time. However does anyone know if you can take a car which has no V5, no MOT, no Tax, etc on the Ring on tourist days?

Me and my friend have now got a EK9 from Civic Cup, but unsure if we can do tourist days because its no road legal at all, so we have been looking at track days only.

If you book a B&B near the ring you can probably leave it there.

I'd be up for June time (still have ADAC cover from last year), providing me and the Metro are allowed ;)

in an ideal world - take your track wheels in the car, change them at the B&B, leave all your stuff there. then when it comes to the drive home you swap the wheels back. this is what Ian and Tim have done in previous years

would have been very keen to get involved and meet you guys there with the M3, but already booked a private trackday there start of July, it is $$$$ so the economics of a second trip are out the window

have fun!

Great advice. :nice:

Personally after last time and seeing the standards, I would onlygo back on a trackday. You get to use the straight then too! :drive:

You can use the German autobahn if you want a long straight for high speeds. Imho how busy it can be on the track during good days in the weekend is of a bigger concern and a better reason to go there for a trackday.

there is no bigger high than taking the first corner under the bridge flat (160mph last year in the m3)

i did some warm up laps last year on TF, will do the same this year too! but certainly driving at nowhere near the same pace as on the trackday, just don't share the same confidence

there are so many parts of the track that will do it! coming over the crest before SX at 150ish then through SX to the right hander before the descent down to foxhole is amazing

used to take the foxhole flat in the 9 as it was limited to 130, need to grow a pair and take it flat in the m3 this year

I agree Fuchsrohre for me! I love it! there are many places I don't like though mainly off camber stuff! :p

Stevie I will be amazed if you can take Fuchsrohre flat in the M3... I still can't in my 9!
