Haha realy! DAP or dark blue, in the motor trade is usualy refered to as Doom blue as no one likes it!

Good luck with your search pal!

The ones I've seen so far haven't been the tidiest of examples. There was one that caught my eye, but it's 5 hours away lol.

2.5k for a uk ek4 vti is crazy man. you could get a uk itr for that price.

I'm getting a little lost with all the ITR, SiR stuff lol.

Uk ITR= uk spec dc2 integra type r,

Good car if you can find a good one, not to bad to insure either,

I had one about 10 years ago and loved it, better than an ek4 IMO

In my neck of the woods 2.5k would get you a rot box of a ITR but up north you may find one for your budget,

You wouldnt get much of a DC2 for 2.5 up north either i dont think. Unless you get realy lucky.

If your ej is as described it would be worth a try at 1k. Just unfortunate the colour isnt the most desireable (in most peoples eyes that is, i personaly like the honda clover green) i think 800 is more realistic

Save alittle more and get ourself an ek9? They are coming down in price for a "fixer-upper"

I'd love to have a 9, but I don't think I'm mature enough to own one yet.

Just me being honest :p I don't think at this moment in time I'd be able to handle that sort of car.
an EK9 / DC2 is a lot of car. Important to remember that this EJ9 is my first car :)

If you think you can handle an EK4 you can handle an EK9 as well :) They are not that much faster, the beauty of EK9 is that it does everything just that little bit better than the EK4!

I think I need to sit in one for a while and see how I feel about a 9.

For me, the EJ is by far, the best car I've driven for things like visibility, spacial awareness etc. It just fits me. The feel is there as well, although the steering is a little too light, feels a bit vague sometimes.

Might have to travel up/down to someone with a 9 and ride shotgun :)

on a side note: Mrs said she wants me to get the 9. Doesn't want me throwing money at the "granny green civic" haha

TBH that was my point when I was buying the 9. I originally wanted an EK4, but then I thought - yet another half arsed solution, might as well do it properly! That's not to say EK4 is a bad car, not at all - but EK9 is better :D

I wouldn't have taken less than 4.5k for my previous EK4.

B16b - bit more top end, and a daft vtech kick as the ceossovrt is set too high.

I wouldn't have taken less than 4.5k for my previous EK4.

I was just looking for a standard EK4 :)

For 4.5k, I think it would be the more sensible option to wait another 2-3 months, put away another 1.5k and pick up a 9.

No offense to your EK4 Kipper, I'm sure it was a gorgeous example :)

IMO an ek9/dc2 are less likely to get you in trouble(speeding, losing control etc) than some of the more modern turbocharged stuff.
Mainly because you have to work for the speed you get and you know your going fast in an ek9 lol
The modern stuff has so much midrange grunt you'll squeeze the pedal and your doing speeds you don't realise because you are more sheltered from the road if you get me?
What im trying to say is you can't speed in an ek9 without knowing it lol

It won't be uncontrollably fast for you anyway.
Worth sitting and thinking about.
I'd take you out in mine but your so far away, plus it's not standard lol

I just want to make sure that if I commit to a 9 it'll be 100% what I want.

I'm about 70% there for the 9, it's a beautiful car with fantastic features however I know that living with a 9 isn't the easiest of things. By this I mean maintenance, it's a car of a certain age so I need to be more in depth with anything I do and it's of course an EK9, so there is a certain respect for the car that I need to build. I've never had the chance of being in a legit EK9 so I don't know what to expect.

I know what you mean about feeling the speed, most of my journey to work is 60mph down country roads (I'm quite lucky in that respect) being a 1.4 civic, I need to work to hit any sort of speed north of 50 (normally drop to 3rd and work it out that way. Mainly for overtaking coffin dodgers lol).
I've never been a fan of top end though, I love throwing the EJ into a corner and going through it, but it feels boaty on the stock springs which doesn't inspire confidence, along with me knowing little about my own capabilities (or lack of) I don't wanna wrap it around a tree.

Sounds silly but makes sense to me :)

EK9 is a car that needs respect I think. Just how much, I have to find out.
