I'm 19, 2 years no claims, been driving almost 3 years and am looking to get another ek9, my first cost 1650 for the year, they said that would drop to 1300, just got a quote and it's now 1800?!?!

Have anyone else's gone up this drastically?

that is a very good price, im 21 and im getting quotes over £2000

It's just really annoying, I want another ek9 but I don't know if I can justify 1800 on insurance

It's ridiculous! I'm getting the same quotes on cars as my sister does, she is 18 and doesn't even drive yet, I thought they had changed the fact that woman get cheaper insurance! I looked into a cheap 1.0 corsa, 750!!?!

I think prices have jumped up, I was getting quotes at £1500 on my nine around Jan 2011, now I am getting them at £2300 at the CHEAPEST.

Insurance just ripping the hand of us again..

get a 12+ month interest free credit card and pay it off in one. i saved over £400 this year on my insurance and I still just pay every month. Also if you have any spare money at the end of the month you can pay more and pay it off quicker!

Under £2k!! at 19!! I would have loved that haha,

Sounds great to me. Best I could get at 19 was £2500 for my EG6

I haven't bothered to check insurance this time around, I'm hoping it will be less then or the same as a UK EP3/VX220.

got a quote for £560 on an ek9 the other day with churchill
thats without mods though and im 25 with 4NCB
still cheap i thought though

Funnily enough Churchill was the lowest for my brother on his EP3, it used to be that Admiral group were the cheapest by miles for anyone 25 and under. Is it definitely an EK9 that Churchill have on their system?

Mate I would not worry lol
My ek9 one year no claim
I payed 6k don't ask :(...

Paying monthly? Thats pretty good tbh

:nice:

I'm 24, been driving for 7 years.. got 3 years NCB and i still pay £1450 a year...

For me though insurance didn't matter... i was simply going to pay whatever came out :D

Thats nothing dude, im 18 and my last qoute for a 00' Civic 1.4 was £9,893
If I get insured under my mums name for the same car it will cost only £1,875
I tried to get a qoute for an EG, The lowest price I could find was £12,000 and for a 97 Civic VTI the lowest price was £11,000.
I'm in northern ireland and im using gocompare, The only way I can afford insurance is to have my mum get the insurance in her name and put me as a secondary driver.
