S4C LSD Box.. Value?

Come across one for sale but not really sure what it's worth, is there a going rate?
 
I'd only pay 300 euro max for one , but iv seen them on sale in UK for 300 to 450 sterling for a standard s4c lsd .
But s4c out of ek9 can be at the top of what I said .
 
He said he wanted 500 for it which I thought was steep. I was thinking nearer 300.
 
S4C with LSD should all be the same I would have thought, EK9 or EK4 (JMD) same gearbox.
NZ prices I have seen are equivalent of 350 - 400 pounds approx.

No not same box different syncros and different lsd
 
£500 is abit steep.
S4c LSD is the same box as a 4.4s80 but tend to hold slightly more value? Guess most think they are a better box than the 96spec tegs.

How do I find out what box I have? Maybe I'm best fitting an LSD in my existing box. It's a hydraulic clutch box from a b16a2

You can hit up m factory on here they have LSDs that will go straight in with changing counter shaft and gears ,
There the site experts on gearing.
 
Well I wouldnt be paying £500 for an s4c LSD. I'd not pay that for a 4.7 s80 and that's considered the best oem box available.
Personally (if budget is an issue) I'd shop about for a 4.4 s80. Should be able to pick one up for only afew £££ and are exactly the same as the s4c your looking at.

Yes jesse I would not pay any were near that ,and what jesse said go with s80 4.7 fd and if you wanted down the line swap out 4th and 5th for s4c .
That would be my ideal box .
Im thinking of doing something similar this summer.
 
I've had an s4c with the 4.7 final drive in, also a 4.9 s4c.
Come to think of it I've had afew gearboxes in my time lol
For na the 4.9 was win IMO but I liked the 4.7s4c aswell, although I was turbo with that box so...
 
I had two for sale, a healthy one and a crunchy one. healthy went for £300 and crunchy for £100.
 
So this bloke is dreaming

I've also been offered a 4.4 FD and S80 LSD to convert mine but that's 350 quid too :/
 
Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay imo. If you needed a known to be working well lsd box in a hurry and 500 was the price for that piece of mind, personally I'd probably pay that over a 3/400 box I didn't know so well.

Seems a little steep but with the price of an ek9 increasing slightly in the last couple years it wouldn't seem unreasonable to see the standard parts increase in value also.... Anyone wanna buy my b16b lol?
