IS there a time in your life that you just think to yourself **** cars Im just going to buy a sensible hatch/saloon?
I think I've just fallen way out of love withmy civic which I can see being for sale if I carry on feeling as I do :(

Is it just me? or is it winter blue's??

Tbh mate, i felt the same over the past few months, and it really annoyed me because i know im lucky to have the car that i do at the age that im at. Then, my insurance came up, and i was faced with the prospect of selling, and i was dreading having to sell. Luckily, i've managed to sort it out, but looking on autotrader for "normal" cars is one of the worst things ever. I just cant imagine me driving a normal car anymore haha. Its one of those things, you dont realise what you have until its gone/almost gone.

Chin up mate, im sure it'll all be worth it when she's finished and you can take her for a nice blast in the summer :nice:

I had that around the start of this year, sold everything and bought an s2000, thought pretty much all threw ownership about selling and getting another civic, and well Im picking up an ek9 on sunday all going to plan aha.

I hate to think how sick my jordan would be by now if i had kept it.

thats the thing tho if I paack it all in now ill have **** all and if I sell it I'd have to buy something nice and TBH there int't anything I'd like to own

Yes plenty of times, but like an addiction you can get off nice cars but they are always calling you back. Just get a db8 ITR amd that will see you through these hard times.
D

Never thought of a DB8 lol I dunno what to do as the jordan is worth ALOT more in parts and sell in std (ish form).....

I think alot of it boils down setting yourself high standards of what you want your car to be like and not having the funds or time to do so, instead of just maintaining the car and enjoying driving it.

i've went through this 2 years ago, i was fed up with performance cars so sold all and bought a 150hp diesel vectra with all the toys, i enjoyed the comfort and easy running but it didnt last long, a few month only until i got the ek9 :win: it just depends what you want from your car mate

Ever since I've seen pearse's BMW..definitely need one of those at some point....in the next 10-15 years...;)

I think we all go through this sammy , definately the pishy weather too. Maybe just a change in projects. That what i am doing now and i am really looking forward to it even though i have no idea what i am going to do with it on what car

I'am in the same boat i bought a 525 for a winter run around and have been driving it for a week now but had to drive the integra up to the garage to be stored ,i f***ing hated the 20min drive in it aaarrrrr.
When iam in the 525 it is like listening to classical music and when i'am in the type it's like i'am after drinking a 4 pack of red bull and listening to the prodigy fire starter.

I think everyone gets that, if only we had the funds to run two cars which would solve all the problems, instead of selling your pride and joy then getting the normal car and before you know it, you want the car you sold again! Don't make the mistake which quite a few people make.
Even dan is back in a Jordan after going through so many cars lol.

Get the jordon up and running like you said once it's done with the new engine it will be like a different car. It's just because of the **** weather and the work that your doing on the car.

Well I think Honda build some real decent road going sports cars. Even A stock ek9 is a really good compromise between userbility and driving experience. It's all very well modding one but in a way it really ruins the usability. If you are getting pissed off with it, put it back to standard and it will transform your opinion of it.
Dunx

i have been like that numerous times sammy, but at the end of the day i knew that there was plenty of time when im an old man for a sensible car and thats why i went back to a jordan a bit of fun and keeps a big smile on my face when i drive it after all driving is supposed to bring enjoyment :D

Maybe ive just bitten of moee than I can chew atm...doesnt help that i dont have any functional cars on the road atm

i get this feeling sometimes .. but thats cause i want an s2000 so bad.. !but if i actually just go drive my 9 i remember why i love it so much !(or looking at it after i wash it ha ;) )

Yeah know what your saying Sammy, my car drives me mad at times, purely because its savage just popping out in it, diff is wild and with the bucket and that i can hardly see lol.
When i drive a standard 9 it seems like a palace compared to mine haha, nice and quiet, full comfy interior, can turn corners at low speeds without hopping all over the road etc lol. Been thinking of putting it up for sale for a while and getting something else but tried that with the dc5 and after only 3 weeks was back in a 9 again :p
Plus my fiancee cant drive the 9 due to the diff and that and she has to get 2 busses to work when the 9's just sitting in the garage doin sweet fcuk all, so this is pushing me more towards selling it and getting something she can drive..

So do what you feel is right bruh, but i cant picture you in a diesel focus estate or anything :p

mum has a 16v polo and dad has a FD2

polo is slow as hell, but yeah it's comfy and a nice car to drive. The FD2 is awesome, really is

but then when i jump in my EK9, neither of them come close!

think if you have a heavily modified EK9 / any car for that matter you do need a sensible car you can use, makes you appreciate your bonkers car even more when you do use it. not even for one of those kanjo thrashes that make your hearbeat burst through the roof, even just nipping down the shops etc feels awesome!

i know i would get fed up of my car very quick if i was using it every single day commuting and such
