Sexy rims! Let's see them!

come to think of it, we should do an official sticky thread on the best/most popular rims on ek9's. Both for street and track use , what ya think??

I know theres already the wheelweights.net thing but we should go for something more specific for ek9.

Dam,

So far I'm liking OEM.

Maybe some of the rims need to be seen in the flesh to be appreciated.

Hee hee.

The rims people have posted are nice, dont get me wrong. But for me, not nice enough to warrant a change in wheels at cost.

depends how much you can get them for ;)
personal preference really.
mine were suppose to be susbstitutes whilst my oems were getting refurbed, but now i like them more than the oem.... could be due to the colour

Ive got to disagree. I dont think the OEM wheels are heavy at all. They are a pretty light wheel.

If you're looking for savage alloys i'm sellin a set of rays... look the business on any civic same as on my car in the profile pic...

They are not really when you compare...... oem EK9 wheels about 16lbs, TE37's 9lbs and SW388s are 8.6lbs. 7 lbs is quite a lot of weight to loose per corner considering it is rotating mass, less mass the car has to spin up the quicker it will go :)

Even the weight difference between EK9 wheels and 96 spec integra wheels is massive, both 15x6" but after feeling the weight of one of mine in comparison to a mates 96 spec oem wheels, they are miles lighter

Do like the look of oem wheels though, only ones that i would change to would be CE28n's in 15x6.5" +45, they would even clear my calipers without spacers, but at 340 quid a corner new, dream on :((

itr wheels in 15' are lighter than the oem ek9 ones and regarding lightweight wheels. They only make a difference if you have higly tuned, modified/track car. most of us on here will not notice the difference in wheel weights when driving, but only when picking them up.

Yeah I'm pretty clued up on un-sprung weight. When comparing them to those specific racing wheels the yeah, but in general they are fairly light IMO.
