I find welding one handed alright haha, not too difficult. I'll update my build thread tomorrow haha! It's always safety first even if I look like a tramp haha! Xxx
Think everything has been pretty much covered here lol
My two pence is just go with it, one step at a time and see where you end up. Don't follow trends/brackets just think of its purpose and what you like and do it. But as said, don't waste too much cash on the engine/ej9 base, just focus on your suspension / brakes / styling and nothing saying it can't be swapped over onto another Ek chassis in time.
I can't help but mention how funny it is that this thread gets more replies and activity in a a few days then most decent build threads / members rides / tech get in months... I wonder why
Not sure if this has been said above or not - so, sorry if I'm repeating. All I can say is race car and daily don't go well in the same sentence, I couldn't bare to daily drive my Ek9 as;
its so stiff and uncomfortable on uk roads
damn loud with gearbox/tyre whine / exhaust noise
gets damn hot inside
steams up in when wet
Hurts your ears big time. ( Even with ear defs rated to 120/130Db
