hey dudes, and dudettes.......I'm lookin 4 some good performing tyres for my ek9 but can't find what i want :angry2:.
I currently have the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx on my car but they're beginning to resemble slicks so that can't be good.

Every where I go they keep saying that the only dunlop they have is some Direzza model.

What kinda tyres would u guys recommend if I can't get the Dunlops?

ThanKs....

what size you want? 205/50/15 hankook rs2 (z212) is as close to the original 195/55/15 you can getand there an awsome tyre, but if you want 195/50/15 then either advan neova ad05-6, or hankook rs2,

my favourites ive had are Toyo Proxies. ive heard good things about hankooks rs2 and bridgestone potenza's

use to have bridgestone g-force i think what it was called, but now i have toyo proxies... never have any problem with them

Do you mean BF Goodrich g force tyres? I had them once and highly rate them, very good in wet and dry.

Lokking for good tyres for my EK9...currently have goodyear f1 195/50/r15 but they just dont seem to last very long..any suggestions?

Been running yokohama parada spec2 tyres for the past year and a half on my 9 and i will never change tyre again . i have also ran toyo r888 and for the money i thought nothin of them . also ran toyo proxes t1r and goodyear eagle f1 but they seem to wear far to quick and the sidewalls are also quite soft .

Standard potenza RE010 are pretty poor imo, they are a bit of an outdated tyre design, if you think about it they were standard spec'd for the EK9/dc2 which is about 12 years ago.......... I had a brand new set fitted to my car when I got them, once they get close to half worn they are garbage in the wet, dry grip is "ok"

195/50 would be the best size to run on 15" wheels, I used to run 205/50 hankook RS2, didn't really see any advantage to running the extra width, now run 195/50 and they are spot on (toyo R888 now, not great if you do a whole lot of miles as they wear FAST)

yea i would be doing a good few miles...really im just looking for a tyre thats a good all rounder and still has a good bit of grip for my 9..running on the standard rims at the mo,tyre size 195/50/r15...........

as said in my previous post the yokohama parada spec2 would be the one to go for imo

spec2's are soft.
I had the 195/50/15's and they dont come with reinforced sidewalls.
You could probably push a finger nail through them :win:

What size you get, i loved them in the dry on my saxo, and on track (once you get used to a bit extra lean due to the soft sidewalls) but in the wet i found them very dangerous.

Would get them again if they had a hard sidewall but iirc they only do the re-inforced sidwall size 16 and above?

just bought 4 of these from camskill

Toyo R1R

Dunlop Direzza Star Spec are an outstanding tire :nice: As is the kumho ecsta mx and many others.

Are these in the 195/50/15. I currently run yokohama S drives 195/55/15 and there s*** hot but there £70 a piece, my mate is running the parada spec 2's on his ITR and they seem pretty damn good. I think i mite get some as you can get them for bout £35-40 a piece off E-bay.
