ok guys got my new box on its way up from jimbob . s4c box with spoon lsd and m factory 3rd,4th&5th (1.695/1.296/1.130)

at the moment im running a exedy 9lb flywheel and exedy stage 1 clutch . never had any problmes with this combo at all and i have used it at the 1/4 mile a good few times and still biteing strong .

anyways im thinking of replacing clutch again when i change my box . what would you guys reccomend .

in the very near future my car will be running n/a with around 230/240 whp so im looking for a clutch that will work well with this .

my 9 is not a daily drive i only use it maybe once at the weekend and the occasional day at the 1/4 mile but looking to put it on track this year also .

whats your guys thoughts .

Many thanks in advance

John

stick with your stage 1 until it goes if its in good condition,

its only an afternoons work to swap it out of you have a problem in the future,

for that power id be looking at orc friend is running 250 hp through that for last 3 years say about 10k km and still like new.

i went with an exedy paddle clutch not to heavy of a pedal with plent of bite out of it not over the top pricey either

All the turbo civic and strong NA Hondas we have built have fitted them with Comp Clutch and have had no issues. For your specific set up looks like a Stage 3 set up and dont look back. GL

as evanek9 suggests go with the exedy racing stage2, its a 3 pad clutch but very light on the foot, also consider a clutchmasters stage 3.

thanks for the help guys i will go have a look into a few of these

I've got the same gearbox, it's haitch's old unit. I would go for a honda one as you are not running to much toqure thats what i have. Have fun with gearbox

How can you say that you have no idea how much tq his engine will make... And he plans on road racing...

ok i think i am going to go with the exedy stage 2 3 pad clutch . purely because i have been using an exedy clutch for the past 2 years and fitted a few into other ek9s and never had any problems .

Is Anyone on here running the exedy stage 2 3 pad clutch ? . How is it for driving with ? . and how fierce is the bite ?

yes it is haitchs old box that jimbob got and never fitted .

My mate runs the hillclimbs in his DC2 running close ratio gears with a Kazz plated diff

He runs a oem dc2 clutch from honda with a super kauri flywheel (4kg), not had any problems at all with that

As much as people say exedy stage 1 are the same as oem, they're not, oem dc2 is better quality........

Depends what you can put up with John, heard nothing but good things about AP racing clutches, depending what one you go for they're not too nasty at all, helix are also very good but not sure if they make one in B series fitament (friend just got a new helix clutch for his noble M400 and quality is amazing)

Try the Mfactory clutch made by SPEC. I just bought the 6puck sprung carbon one they sell, very very nice piece of kit and from what I read up on them they have nothing but good reviews! :)

hmmm ramsay i think you are going to need to get your finger out your a**e and get it fitted and bring the car through for me to have a try of :nerv: lol

i had the exedy stage 2 in my old itr very easy to drive with and still serious grip no slip whatsoever.just bed it in easy as a friend made the mistake of dogging it from day one and it developed a viloent judder immediately.
