Over the next few weeks i'l be replacing a few things on my EK9 but i'm unsure what people recommend, been searching around on here and its not very definate on what people use, so would you all be able to reply to this thread using the below layout :

Engine Oil : Valvoline VR1 5w-50 FS
Oil Filter :
Gearbox Oil :
Engine Coolant :
Spark Plugs :
HT Leads :
Tyres :
Brakes :

Many Thanks
Ash

i would change your oil to 5 or 10w-40. 50 is a bit to thick for the b16b. and personly i wouldn't use anything else but fuchs silkolene but thats IMO

valvoline>Silkolene

gearbox oil... Landrover MTF94
HT leads NGK
sparkplugs i service my car quite often and i change the plugs every time so i just use normal NGK's i dont see the point in spending the extra when i change them that often!

Ive read that the 'special' plugs can last longer than standard ones, and increase performance, but when compared to new plugs they made no difference. By this I mean that they put special plugs in and got a 5hp increase, but then changed the plugs to new standard ones, and got the same 5hp increase also. So if you just change your plugs for NGKs every service, you cant go wrong.

Engine Oil : Valvoline VR1 5w-50 FS. Better with 10w-40. I use Millers Oil.

Power Steering, clutch and Brake fluid: Honda only!
Underseal your car! :)

Sorted! :)
