First of all I just wanna say that this isn't an intended advert.
I have been struggling to sell my car and the only people wanting to buy it want to part ex which I dont want.

Its easier for me to show the link;

my questions are;
Am I expecting too much for this?
Should I spend more money on getting it right and then ask for more?
Is it a lost cause and should I just "break it"?

I am coming over across quite negative about it, for a 15 year old car I dont think its that bad a condition and I have spent a lot of money on mods and putting it right mechanically.

Anyone got any thoughts my price or is it just wrong time of the year?

Tbh mate it's difficult to get a decent price for any car atm.
I personally would replace the missing plastics from inside the boot, put an OEM front lip back on and tidy up all the wires etc on the dash as I think these things make it look messy.
Also, whether you don't mean this thread to be an advertisement or not, you have put a link to the advert on here so don't be surprised if mods remove your thread as it is an advertisement however you look at it.

I think it needs a bit of TLC. Please don’t think I am not slagging it off by any means.

Looking at the pictures it could do with a clean then some new pictures. Also it may be worth selling any mods off first. You also talk about rust maybe it would be worth providing pictures of the arrears effected.

At the current state I wouldn’t pay 5k for it but with a bit of work I think you could reach it.

One thing about selling cars that are Modded, it doesn't necessarily increase the value. As soon as you begin to do that to a vehicle you alienate people from the purchase because the vehicle becomes more personalized and you have to find someone who likes what you like.

Engine swaps are generally a good example. People will spend thousands on a engine swap, but will rarely get back the amount they put into it. The bottom line is that it's still a 15 year old car and that's how the majority of people look at it.

I have looked over this online a few times as I'm in the market for one.
If you want it to sell then price it alittle cheaper. Just befor yours came on ther was two with similar miles priced about 4750 and 4650. They didn't hang about that long,
If you want to take 5 k for it then sort the lip out at least.

good advice :)

is it standard ?
people are more likely to buy a standard ek9!

so if you have parts sell them get some money back and put it to standard!

Seen it. Them wheels are rota slips btw I'm sure on spoon s888 the spokes are slightly longer.

Seems like the market is at a all time low!
In all fairness if you are desperate drop the price and it'll soon budge, I'm afraid that's just the way it goes mate :(
