Hey dudes, what's up? I'm gonna change my bushings and decided to get the full Energy suspension kit. I've seen a lot of different ones with different part numbers but wanted to know which was the right one.

Has anyone ever got one of these, please let me know the part number, and does it come with the shock mounts?

AND....what's the difference between the
1) Energy Suspension 16.18110G Black HyperFlex Polyurethane Master Bushing Kit, and
2) Energy Suspension 16.18110R Black HyperFlex Polyurethane Master Bushing Kit

Thanks......

I'm all for hard rubber for most bushings. Hardrace and PIC Performance each make hard rubber kits. Less noisy, less binding, bounces back to original position more readily, no real maintenance.

Each kind of bushing, be it hard rubber, spherical bearing, or polyurethane each have their place, but you can bank on hard rubber as your best bet for the street or street track car. I wouldn't use hard rubber rear trailing arm bushings however. Stock or spherical for that.

why is hard rubber bushes not a good idea for rear trailing arms, only asking as i have bought a full set and will be fitting them soon

just get them off funkypower.co.uk there is only two options sohc and dohc and lists what cars they fit far easier.

PU bushings are not ideal for use in locations such as lower control arms - the main reason for this is they do not handle multi-axis movements well.

When subjected to all these complex movements, PU begins to wear very quickly and in some cases it will tear. Where PU is good is for things like shifter bushings, sway bar bushings, top hat bushings - basically where there is only a compression force applied to them.

Solid rear trailing arm bushings have a place on track cars, but not necessarily street cars that have more suspension travel. The rear suspension does not simply travel up and down - but rather in an arc. So it would be ( OEM ) vs / \

You will notice PU bushing kits like Energy to improve your car's handling significantly in the beginning because the EK9 is already as old as it is - but its performance will drop off within a couple of years at best. We are dealing with our mistakes now on a friend's hatch fitted with an ES master kit.

I got the one for 99Civic Si. Part number was 16.18110R. Some bushings included in the kit cant be use for EK9.

and for the pu engine mounds ?
i think is the same so oem again is the best !
