which engine would you choose and why??

With a 3-4k budget you'd be best with finding a complete low (ish) miler B18C-R (B18c6 UK) swap, then spend the rest on brakes, suspention and maybe a gearbox rebuild.

Where have you been ?? :p

I vote B18 in this case.

is this your car? i recall seeing a few videos you have posted, and how you have said your car seems about as quick as a k20. do you have any quarter mile times or anything to verify this? as in most videos, this one especially, my old b18c civic looks faster, and it got absolutely put to shame by k20 ek/eg's.

its getting some work at the mo, will do soon. need to find the nearest 1'4 mile to wiltshire.

I'd stay with 1.8L or K20.

Too much hassle building a b20 and for the time and money, K20 just makes power effortlessly and the bonus 6 speed box.

B18C because it has best of both worlds - high rpm + torque.

B16B if you like to be the underdog - big street cred at the track if your a good driver. The B16B will just last forever, built for endurance from factory.

Sell your engine.
Buy a good b16a for cheap money.
Stick a turbo on it with good bolt on mods and tuning.
Your looking at getting 300whp if you do it right.
If your handy with spanners, I cant see this route costing you more than 2500 all in.
