Hi guys was reading a few threads and thought it would be quite a good laugh to see whos parents have taken out ur car for the day night and if u or they have any funny storys of anything that has happened? or if they like driving around in ur car :)

I am only starting this thread as my mate off the forum leaves his car at home when he goes to uni during the week and his mum uses his ek9 and had been known to be driving round town waving and beeping at other fellow honda drivers shes a complete legend :)

My mum has driven my evo a few times and just gets funny stares lol she refuese to drive the ek9 haha

so lets here your storys guys :D .............

My dad drives my car a lot. He gets a lot of looks alright. Few times he has come home at nite time and said the other cars have full up and started reving for him to race them.

He has been pulled over by the cops too. Stopped him on the motorway. About 12 at nite cause the car seemed to be traveling slower than it shud have been ha ha

My dad use to drive my sti v3 he loved it. We went to Sheffield in it and blagged me to let him drive it home, he was boosting it all the way top Dad fair play :))

ha cool thread

took my mum in my eg6 beginning of the year "oh my god i havent been in a car this quick in years" :))

i then bought her a 1995 civic VEI for £600... loves it to bits now!

HAHA as if your mum will drive the evo but not the 9. guess evo's are quite refined compared to an ek9 though.
lol at your dad getting pulled over man thats great. well not for him.
My dad once took out my EG6 he was changing at about 5500 came home and said to me.
" dunno what you're raving about "
told him to rev it to 9000 he looked at me funny, i said seriously get yourself onto the Vtec cam and you'll be laughing all the way to 9000
he came back shaking a little bit saying his ears hurt and his back hurt from the suspension. he's getting old bless him.
he said he wouldn't dare go past 8000 cause thats just silly.... he mutter'd
" bloody quick though, i hate it its too racey " best comment about my car i have heard yet lol.

My dads drove my car a number of times, but doesnt really understand that all the power is up in the top of half the revs so last time he drove it was shifting about 7000 rpm :angry2:

My mums hates it, says its too loud, too stiff and the seats are a nightmare to get out of :blabla:

My mum hasnt driven my ek9 yet but she drove my ek4 a few times and although she wasnt a massive fan of the noise she said she loved the way it handled and went around corners haha Need to get her to take the ek9 out lol

My dad refused to drive my old B18c EK4 - although I took him down to derby to pick up his 1987 Honda SuperMagna 750cc bike.

On the way back I had a race with him, the bike speedo only shows 130mph and he was off the clock and i was almost off the clock @ 145ish pushing him up the M6 ha ha

Hows that for a race - father / son story :)

He was very surprised with how fast my little Civic was

some really funny storys guys :) keep them coming thoroughy enjoying this thread already :) i get the jist most parents arent a fan of there childrens cars until they have driven themselves and they start to warm to them :p

lol at this thread.

My mum has only drove the civic a couple of times, she doesnt mind it.

Altho i remeber when she borrowed my stripped saxo had to try and explain to her how to put a harness on lol

hahah quality

My mum is the inspiration for this thread ahah
When i'm away at Uni during the week I leave the EK9 at home
My mum drives about in my car all the time...It sends me crazy haha
Some comments from my mum

"I got it up to 8000 revs"
"don't worry i let it warm up"
"I love going down the motorway on ramps"
"I like the noise" (I have a Spoon N1) aha

People pull up to the car and ask her questions about it..."what engine's in it?" etc. It is pretty funny stuff. Also she waves at other Honda's

I'm contstantly telling her not to drive my car, and if she has to she must be careful. Its like i'm the Parent . I threaten to hide the car keys haha

She offers to buy me parts for it and always makes sure there is petrol it it....So I can't complain :D

^^^^^^ haha as said by martin his mums antics was my inpsiration for this thread she is soooo funny and i bet can probably drive better than martin as well lol

That was the best thing when i was still living at home, Mum would borrow the car and it would be running on fresh air, everytime she brought it back it the tank would be full to the brim.

hahahahaha epic mark i can only imagine the sight of a minister turnign up at a crematorium revving the hellout an eg and trying to get out with a cage in it lol

My mum hasnt really drove any of my honda's, Only car she drove around in was the cammed and chipped yellow 106 gti i had, Me and my mate were working on his car at my house, Mum came out said she was off to the shops in my car, My mate as a joke told her to give it everything out the driveway, low and behold you ever seen your mother corking limiter 1st and 2nd up the road? Well i have and i must say i never thought in a million years my own mother would be whipping off a melter!!

My Dad drove my car half way back up the road when i picked it up from Duncan, he's got a Porsche so he doesn't really have any interest in driving it anymore :(
