Why Bridgestones rock on Honda's...

RE01Rs are VERY expensive, last time i checked they were about £400 in japan, before shipping, taxes etc.

There are plenty other tyres with stiff sidewalls though :nice:

Do share, it seems almost every premium/performance tyre I research is softwalled apart from B'stones.

I'd be sorely tempted by the Toyo R1R but if the T1R construction is anything to go by then I will steer clear (excuse the pun) as they are like driving on jelly.

195/50/15 R888 have a stiff sidewall, very stiff in comparison to Hankook RS2, noticed a substantial sacrifice in ride comfort when I fitted R888 all round

Great post as a generalised comment, although by running differing degrees of castor you can affect camber change during cornering to help tyre contact

Shame bridgestones are expensive over here and hard to get hold of like you say :((

i dont fancy running R888 all year round on a daily driver :(

Well in that case if the R1R is of a similar construction/compound to the R888 as suggested then I think it will be a good call. They are supposed to be nearly as good in the dry and much better in the wet than the R888.

$ 191.22 on fed ex economy for 4 tyres, then if you get hit with import tax and VAT you could be into some serious money. cant justify that :(

Is that for the tyres and shipping?? if so thats alot better than the price on Nengun of £401 for just the tyres alone!

EDIT: Forget the above text, that seriously has to be too good to be true hahaha
