No more silly VX220, back to a Honda to save some money! Though sadly not an EK9 :angry2:

Only crappy picture I have at the moment!

80,000 miles, full Honda service history, totally standard, lovely condition! Plan is to pamper it and drive it aboot!

Comparison to EK9: EP3 engine has bags of torque, feels more torquey than the 2.2 in the VX220 even! Fast and useable out of VTEC, not such an aggressive VTEC engagement and quieter overall as standard. Certainly feels a bigger car compared to the EK9. Steering is more vague with less feedback. Definitely faster than a standard EK9 but less fun accelerating.

Looks like you have founds a good one bud:nice:

Looks very clean.

It is good to be back :) Can't get over how speedy it is! A K20 in an EK9 would be brilliant, the only thing I don't like too much is the vagueness of the gearshift, never 100% which gear I'm going into!

Nice one! Congrats on the new car! What are the plans?

I'm thinking about getting an EK9 again soon, just nothing like a Honda sometimes!

I'm just going to keep it well serviced and 'happy'. I'm thinking about doing a B16b Mini project now that the EG4 is almost ready for paint after having new inner and outer arches so that'll hopefully keep me away from doing anything to the EP3. :)

The EP3 doesn't like bumps as much as the EK9, there is a massive difference in the suspension set-up between them both in performance as standard, went over a bridge with a lip at the top and it was like an earth-quake!

Looks a nice buy, Could the vagueness when shifting be down to worn shifter bushings? As i know alot of people replace them with solid ones.

Back in the game:nice: agree with you about steering feel and handling!

Welcome back mate nice ep3 very clean example :nice:

welcome along, loving that henry animation! A friend of mine is currently dropping a k20 into his ek9, hes on here somewhere

Welcome back, that's a real nice example you have there.
Best of luck with her.

k20 + ek9 = best of both worlds

I know of a good low mileage b16b that could be available :naughty: think you might even be familiar with its' history

The chassis will take me aaaages to prepare before I even think about an engine, it's going to be a long project to stop me from being driven insane during teacher training. :)

Though, either dad or Josh might be interested in the engine as a spare so feel free to PM a price as a whole swap or minus gearbox (which would be preffered) or even as a bare engine. It'd be nice to have one of the rally-cars running with my old EK9's heart :) Is she finnaly getting the K-swap I could only dream of?
