The OP said he just sold his EP3 and wants a different car and you tell him to buy an EP3 :angry2:

The clio is a fantastic car, engine not as good as the K20 but steering is much better.

I no he needs reminded tho it is a much better car to own. You cant justify buying a Clio other than saying your never going to drive it
 
I drove my friends clio 172 and it was standard but it actually held its own really well!

Have you driven a Clio 172 or any other varient? They are bloody good cars and they feel so nippy and livley to drive.

Id much rather a 182 Trophey than an EP3, drove my brothers and the steering was just awfull.
 
I owned both pretty much standard and the clio was only beaten by the engine in terms of performance. So if you are going from a standard EP3 to that clio then the clio will massively outperform the EP3 on track.
For that price just do it, what's the worst that can happen :s lol

Nope never wanted a shot either I've just sat in one and driving position and plasticness was enough to make me get out

I just can't make sence of it we all love Honda for the same reasons and buying something French goes against all those reasons for me anyway

Each to there own . I'm sure I would regret buying one if I actually did the rx8 is another good car for that money

Honda lol, lad with the 204 bhp Clio never texted back when I said I'd buy it if he put it through m.o.t as I'd need to drive it home, Clio cups are good, but look to much off a bubble car and dont like the interior, the honda is going to be quick too :)
 
Lol whenever I mention a jap car in the office people laugh and call it 'plastic pig' some of the newer impreza's etc look worse than a French hot hatch inside!
 
ive owned the clio 182 trophy but i ended up preferring my mates 182 with all the special bits on, i even preferred his standard seats over my recaros lol!

they are great cars for the money, the things you gotta look out for is make sure the belts have been done by a proper renault specialist as its a special tool job, make sure all the belts are good aswell as if one of them fails it can take out the cam belt with it, also check the dephaser aswell as they can get a bit noisey around 90k

dont know what everyone is moaning about the seating position lol! i love it!

bodywork is nothing to worry about being plastic and galvanised

i would say go for the 172 cup, but its that a bit too hardcore for everyday then go for a 182
 
May not be the most reliable but very enjoyable cars to drive when they are working right. Friends who have owned them in the past have raved about them. :nice:

honda civic coupe with b18c4 chipped p28 and fast road map.
what you think ? different, dont want a ek unless its a ek9 as see to many off them around. picking it up tommorow

I disagree.
Good cars the clios. A rival for the ek9 for sure but wouldnt say it would smash one. Probably in between the ep3 and ek9 IMO
 
Driven both. No contest, apart from maintenence is much easier on the 9.

No lsd in the 172 cup. They are lighter than I thought tho. Like 950kg

the man speaks the truth, in a straight line i think the ep3 would beat a ek9, and the 172 cup would probably match the ep3

cornering ability it would depend on the driver as they are all fine handling cars
