are 16s too big on ek9??

well do these ruin the cars handling effect power etc?car is stock suspension and engine. plan to get coilovers also in the future and a b18.now the b18 could be few months away at best and i dont want to ruin the car in the interim.thanks.
 
If they're lighter than the standard rims, I'd say you're looking at an increase in performance if anything. Long as you get low profile tyres the rolling diameter will be nearly the same so no decrease in accelleration etc
 
16's are grand but you will be running a lower profile wheel such as 205/45/16 rather than the standard 195/55/15...So you will loose accelleration as the diameter of the wheel will be the same..And as jpar196 said 17's are to big indeed...15's or 16's work best and look best:nice::nice:
 
17s are fine if you have the power.

Otherwise 16s is about as big as you want to go with the 16B
 
16 for street, and 15 for track is my setup :) and yea you should be using 205/45 if you're running 16" rims
 
16's look GREAT!! Some 17 also look good, 15" for best performance though and many tire options.
 
i run 16s on street and will be using them on track too

Cant fit 15s over my brakes
 
16" no difference from my 15" rims and im ruinning 205/50/16 better handling is all ive noticed
 
Stunning rims mate, surely cant turn em down for that money?!? Get some pics up when they're on is all I'll say!
 
yeah if i get them i will only learned how to post pics recently took me at least an hour.
only worry i have is tyres for 16inch rims are ****.
 
wank. I was hoping to upgrade to 16's eventually but that fact kinda spoils it - just did a little search even Parada Spec II's are comin in at 90 notes a corner

I paid 130 for 4 corners just recently on the 15's!
 
see what i mean its total **** bloody nankangs even are like near 90 each and theres more grip in a babys fist than them.

CAMSKILL GET Hankook RS2'S I DID FOR no money and they are ****in savage cabbage unreal grip out of em like a R888 but more for the road:nice:

i had this problem i went to an alloy wheel shop in essex, and asked why 16 more? ( common sense says less material etc )

its due to demand for 17" - made more in bulk, where 16" are no so popular....

stupid??
 
So whats the lowest profile tyre you can get for a 17" rim?

Just curious as to what increase in overall diameter there would be from a 15" with 55 profile to a 17" with whatever the lowest profile available would be (im guessing 30 or 35??)
 
yeah but the car drives horribly with 17s on it catches every bit of camber on the road and pulls it all over the road.kill power also!
