i had prada spec 2s didnt like the soft wall at all!!

cant get goodyear eagle f1 any more!!!

what do i buy???

all comments welcome!!:please::thanks:

Hankook RS2 have been rated well by a lot of people. I myself use Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2, and I do recommend them as they are very good in the wet. If you are looking for something even more grippy then Toyo R888's, the R888's are road legal semi slick tyres.

Everyone has a different opinion tbh. I like Falken ZE912s, Vredestein, Hankook RS2s.

whats the RS2 like in the wet my local dealer said they wernt great????

ya whats those michelin like in the dry really grippy??? does the side wall give much???

thanks for the imput lads!

The RS2's are fine mate, had them on my old wheels no problems. I've got PS2's on these wheels and you can notice the difference the RS2's are better. Camskills sell the RS2's cheap, i'm going to have a go of the R888's for next summer see what all the fuss is about :)

I use RE-11's for road and the R888's for the track. R888's are insane good. RE-11's are nice, but not as nice as the R888's. Both are not low cost and wear fast.

Well are you going to be properly tracking them?
I have RS2s atm and I have to say compared to normal road tyres there amazing, I found them much better in the wet as well.
And at £50 you really can't complain!

i asume your talken about bridgestone potenza re11s is it lad????

where can u buy them my local dealer said u cant buy a potenza for a 15 inch rim!!!!

AD08!

hancook were rubbish
parada spec 2 rubbish

AD08s are the best thing ive bough for my ek9 by far

Hankook RS2 get my vote mate, there a great tyre for the money.

AD08 are awesome to, but there higher end of the price scale

Don't get RS2 if you're looking for all out grip, I used to run them and thought they were ok but that was with a softer suspension setup a while back, my dad has a set on his FD2 and they are rubbish in the wet, shocking even, they just don't work well with a hard suspension setup being a hard summer tyre

If you are looking for a good street tyre go for the Yokohama A08, fantastic tyre

Federal RSR is a step up from this, not quite a true semi slick, but maintains good wet weather performance

Up from that again would be R888, i run these on my track car which is also used on the road, outstanding grip, still very good in the wet, but don't last too long

thanks for the responce mate

are they a soft wall tyre like the prada 2 or are they solid wall like bridgestone!????

also are they a semi slick like an r888 and are u suposed to warm them up before use???

The AD08 are a soft compound road tyre which does have a good sidewall to it, the parada is a budget yoko tyre, the AD08 is a performance one :nice:

R888/cut slicks work good when they are heated up some, but this doesn't take too long, i've only noticed that on track i can lock the wheels up easy during warm up laps as the brakes get up to heat quicker than the tyres

I have to agree that the paradas do have a soft side wall compared to more track focused tyres, although I have actually tried them on the track and they were actually quite good! Compared to ado8/ao8r/r888 they would never keep up but for the price (£35 a tyre) the dry grip is excellent and they last well too. I have a friend with a 500bhp subaru sprint/hillclimb car and he uses parada in 17", he runs them on all his events and loves them but the sidewall stiffness in the 17" is alot stiffer compared to 15"

I have a pair of dc2 rims with a032r semi slicks that I use for track but I feel like the rims lack width. When my front road tyres (paradas) wear out I plan to replace them with a pair of Yoko AD08s in 205/50/15 as my wheels are 7" wide and I will try these on the track next year:)

To be honest with the price of R888's now not being far off £100 each i think i will be using some Hankook RS'2 when i'm due a change.
