The 1.6 was too much to run?

So he splashes out on an angine and god knows how much money to get it working properly.

And my bro had a 2.2CDTi and he was lucky to get in the mpg in mid 40's.

His advert at the top also states the fuel type is petrol.
 
if it was slower than a original ek9 it would be gay but its probs **** loads faster so its ****ing cool!
 
Would be different driving that, with all the torque. Wonder if there is a build thread for it somewhere?
 
i have no reason to believe otherwise! Sounds genuine enough, imagine that much torque / power in something as light as an ek9! Would be one fast diesel! lol

That sounds like a bargain at that price....243hp and 312ftlb of torque :woot:

Ive often thought somone might do that!!! my 2.2 civic type S was remapped to 192bhp and that melted tyres, hell knows what 243BHP will do to the poor old ek9 tyres!!!
 
At first seemed a bit of a waste of a 9 but i would like to see it being given some ;)

If you compare the cost of doing this swap to the amount of fuel he could have used instead he would be worse off having done the swap.
